Big Bang is a five-member group recruited by the YG Family. A 10-part documentary, aired on a cable TV channel, shot the band into the spotlight and helped them gain attention in the Kpop scene.
The members of the band are all talented performers; from vocals and rap to dance and songwriting, Big Bang filled their debut album with music created by the members themselves. G.DRAGON and T.O.P wrote the lyrics of their debut single.

Arguably the most popular boy idol band on the scene, every album is almost guaranteed to hit number one and every concert to be sold out within a matter of minutes. Many artists also acknowledge the group's talents, saying Big Bang is on another level from other idol groups for the fact that they write and produce their own music. Each member has released solo tracks which have also done very well.
