Trio On Standby

Posted on: Tue 26 Sep 2006

Three members of the Leicester City squad have been placed on standby for their respective nations for the forthcoming round of international fixtures.

Both Patrick Kisnorbo and Paul Henderson (pictured) will have to wait to find out whether they have won a place in the Australia squad after the initial draft was announced for their games against Paraguay on October 7 and Bahrain the following Wednesday.

And defender Gareth McAuley, whose Northern Ireland side face Denmark and Latvia, has also been placed on standby for the latest round of Euro 2008 qualification fixtures.

Both Kisnorbo and McAuley were unused substitutes in their countries' most recent fixtures against Kuwait and Spain respectively.

Further international call-ups from the City squad will appear here on lcfc.com as soon as they are announced.
