In last year we have registered a community owned co-operative, commissioned detailed plans for a fibre network  and are working on a public consultation.

Carrach Wind Farm

Open Meeting 6pm Wed 20 July at Kilry Hall

A formal planning application has been submitted to Angus Council for constructing a 9 turbine wind farm at Carrach Hill about 1 mile west of Kingoldrum on the B951 (Planning Ref. 11/00554/FULL). This would be the first wind farm in Angus.

An open meeting is being held by Kirriemuir Landward West Community Council at 6pm on Wed 20 July in Kilry Hall to discuss this application and determine their response to it.


It has been brought to the management committee's attention that we may have unintentionally had several copyrighted images in use on this website. We have removed the images that Undiscovered Scotland have claimed copyright over.

It has always been the our policy to carefully avoid using copyrighted images and if we have accidentally breached this we apologise fully. The website committee and people who add updates for us have been reminded of the importance of only using text and images that we have full permission to use.
