Macclesfield Town have completed the signing of former Derby County and Notts County defender Jason Beardsley on a one year deal.

The full-back, who can play on either flank came through the ranks at Pride Park playing once in a League Cup penalty defeat to Blackpool.

His Football League debut came on loan at Notts County in 2008 where he played 15 games in all competitions.

Leaving Derby in January of this year he made a transatlantic trip to FC Tampa Bay, but left Florida to return to the English game.

He joins the Silkmen, subject to international clearance, after impressing in a trial spell at the Moss Rose.
