Watch now: National final in Bulgaria
The show
The twelve finalists were shortlisted back on January 14th, when the semifinal was held. The Bulgarian representative in Eurovision 2012 will be decided tonight through a combination of jury deliberation and televoting at a 50%-50% stake.
The Bulgarian final will feature several Eurovision 2012 national representatives as guest artists: Anggun (France), Kurt Calleja (Malta), Soluna Samay (Denmark) and Ivi Adamou (Cyprus). Ukraine's Gaitana will not be appearing after all. Elitsa Todorova and Stoyan Yankoulov (Bulgaria 2007) are expected to perform as well, besides other local artists.
The show will be hosted by Milenita, Alexander Sano and Drago Draganov.

I AM SO PROUD OF YOU SOFIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@mer maid indeed, a "cute" Spanish song...(one of my best friends today is in that video too ;.)
paul,I remeber having heard the song you posted...so cute!
mer maid Spain is a child oriented nation, so no wonder we did so well in JESC as opposed to ESC, every entry somehow is oriented towards a childish theme (or for teenie voters), Pastora, at least breaks the rule a bit...indeed I wrote a report about that myself once...in conclusion we can say that Spain is represented by the following song..past, present and future.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1yaXh6SKLA
@ dimitris Born To Die It's subjective which song is better, but yeah it's true I'm a little Desi biased because as a artist I like her MUCH MUCH more than Sofi, however her song would need a big revamp, I'd like to hear that but I guess it won't happen now. Oh well, Sofi is still a good choice.
i'm glad this song was chosen. it makes esc interesting because in this way not all the songs are the same. esc is not only about songs that have the aim to win but to have fun, enjoy listening different music styles and languages and represent their country instead of something else. some may be more modern, others may sound a little bit dated maybe, it is part of esc and it makes the esc nights more interesting imo. good luck bulgaria
I find this song too gimmicky for my taste.I think the beat is bland and not that up to date.I give BULG 2012 , 3 points for good vocals and the fun factor ! Good luck neighbours !
EURO LOVER, The jury sucked!Dess was not better! It is just the fact you like her outside esc context and you can't see it clear.lol!
it is nice as it is. Don't change it to english.
@ ♪ L ♫ Agree! It HAS to stay in Bulgarian. Aren't English speakers even a little interested in hearing something else than their own language all the time? Afterall it's Eurovision not Anglovision, I would be bored as hell if all songs were in Swedish, that's not what makes this contest attractive.
paul,in Turkey we have also had child stars..some of them had great careers ,some of them were forgotten...As much as I apreciate their talent,I don't think fame and that glittery world are good for children :)!ps:Marisol is my favorite spanish name and her song is lovely, thank you!
Ben!!! No way!!! It MUST stay in Bulgarian!!! Have you heard her English? Lol, it's not an accent I want to hear more of in Eurovision to put it that way.
@ dimitris Born To Die I told you New 5 would win the jury vote! Thank God juries #1 didn't win. I'm a little sad for Desi, I happen to think she was actually better than Sofi, but still good enough.
Hooray, the 1990s are back! Should stay in Bulgarian, otherwise it's too interchangeable.
@ Ben-G No, not in English.. I mean why?
i like it. good luck
Roselil Denmark: my pleasure :)
Nice choice, but it definitely needs to be in English.
One of the worst and cheap songs ever heard in ESC.
Jury winner was this awful, out of tune group,New 5.Sofi got 8 points and Dess 5.Sofi won the televoting while Dess was second.
@ dimitris Born To Die Didn't I say the New 5 crap would win the jury votes!? Dess just ended up in the middle of the board with the juries. Well, thank God Sofi won in the end, it was between her and Desi for me so I'm ok with this result.
Yeeeeey, good results! Finally another country gets it right and chooses the best song (hasn't been many of them this year)! :D Dess came second in televote and further down with juries? :O Yey!
Well done neighbours!!!
thanks Alex P:)... ..Sofi :)
SOFI WON!LOL!!!
