Rufus Wainwright Announces New York, California Shows

It’s been a great week for Rufus Wainwright fans. The songwriter released yesterday a new song, “Montauk.” The track comes from his forthcoming Mark Ronson-produced album, Out of the Game, which is out May 1 on Decca Records.

And today Wainwright announced a small four-date tour in support of the album. As of right now, dates are only scheduled in California and New York. The dates kick off May 9 in Brooklyn, N.Y. at the Brooklyn Academy of Music and will wrap up May 13 in San Diego, Calif. at Humphrey’s. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster for California dates, and tickets for the show at the Brooklyn Academy of Music will be available here.
