Good Dog! It's more than a continuation of the headline. It's also one of the first offerings from Tribune Media Service's new line of eBooks (available through all the usual suspects). Collecting advice from animal behaviorist Steve Dale, Good Dog will soon be joined by Good Cat, which alongside three eMags, round out a freshman crop of downloadable content from TMS. Good Dog is off to a good start, too, having broken into Amazon's top 100 pet care eBooks and earned a five star reader review.

Recently, their effort gained broader attention when Parade Magazine took Be An Angel, turned it into The Giving Issue, with designs to spread the initiative nationwide. Kudos to The Morning Call and especially program caretaker, Irene Kraft.

Making promos is the TV equivalent of hacking at a fastball. Any kid with Final Cut Pro and a YouTube account knows how to swing, but making contact is another matter entirely. As for taking it to the yard, well that requires something special. Leave it to the East and Central teams at Tribune Creative to clear the bases, as they scored two Silvers and a Gold at this year's PROMAX Sports Media Marketing Awards. Go team!
