NEG - National Emergency Grant

FMC is Approved to receive National Emergency Grants

Future Media Concepts is proud to be a school licensed by the New York State Education Department, as well as the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Education. As a registered institution recognized by these States, FMC is able to take part in the National Emergency Grant Program (NEG).

Through the NEG, employees who have been laid off in the financial service industry can receive up to $12,500 for career training at Future Media Concepts.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Employees who were dislocated from one of the following companies since May 31st, 2008:

    Capital One National Assoc. Citibank NA

    Goldman, Sachs & Company HSBC Bank USA National Assoc.
    Indymac Bank JP Morgan Chase
    JP Morgan Chase Bank NA JP Morgan Securities, Inc.
    Lehman Brothers, Inc. McGraw Hill Company
    Merrill Lynch Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith
    Morgan Stanley Radian Asset Assurance, Inc.

  • Individuals who need training in order to advance their career.
  • Please note that you do not need to be unemployed in order to qualify for the grant.

How do I apply to receive the Grant?

  • Contact Aneish Lewin ( aneishl@fmctraining.com , 212-233-3500 ) to discuss the different training opportunities available.
  • Contact your local Employment Office to obtain the necessary NEG paperwork.
  • Complete the forms and return them to your local Employment Office.
  • After receiving the completed forms, your local Employment Office will contact Future Media Concepts on your behalf.
  • The approval process is quick and should be expected to take 3 to 7 business days.
  • After approval is complete, you can begin your classes!
