Federal Judge Rules Maryland Law Unconstitutional, Says That Gun Owners Don’t Need to Provide a ‘Good Reason’ to Own a Handgun

By FoxNews.com

BALTIMORE – Maryland residents do not have to provide a “good and substantial reason” to legally own a handgun, a federal judge ruled Monday, striking down as unconstitutional the state’s requirements for getting a permit.

U.S. District Judge Benson Everett Legg wrote that states are allowed some leeway in deciding the way residents exercise their Second Amendment right to bear arms, but Maryland’s objective was to limit the number of firearms that individuals could carry, effectively creating a rationing system that rewarded those who provided the right answer for wanting to own a gun. Rush Limbaugh’s Apology Not Accepted By Liberals: Is There a Double Standard?

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh apologized this weekend for offensive comments he made about Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown law student who testified in front of Congress about contraception coverage. Columnist for The Daily Beast and Democratic political analyst, Kirsten Powers, thinks that there is a double standard when it comes to liberals versus conservatives.

While she agrees that what Limbaugh said was “extremely egregious” and “deserves the outpouring of anger,” Powers wonders where is the outpour of cries when liberals, (More…)

NFL Investigating Bounties: Could It Lead to Lawsuits?

The NFL is expanding its investigation into bounty-gates for hits and injuries to players. Former New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is in hot water today after admitting he ran a bounty program, which essentially pays players to injure others and knock opponents out of games.

Former NFL player Greg Buttle said there were bounty pools for interceptions, fumbles, and winning tackles during his time with the NFL, but you only won the pool if you scored a touchdown.

He said that when you get a shot on a quarterback, you take it, and therefore Buttle remains unsure as to the implications of Williams’ bounty admittal.

“The game of football is mandatory physical abuse of the opponent,” Buttle said. “That’s the game.” (More…)

VIDEO: Did President Obama Get Lectured By Israeli PM Netanyahu?

Netanyahu then responded to his comments, taking a hard stance in reminding the commander in chief of his nation’s long-standing tie to America.

“When Americans look at the Middle East, they know (More…)

Mike Huckabee: ‘I Wouldn’t Count Newt Gingrich Out of 2012 Race’

During Saturday’s ‘Huckabee Forum 3: Jobs’ in Ohio, a father of a wounded veteran became emotional when he asked Mitt Romney what he would do as president to take care of veterans like his son, who suffers from severe post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury. Mitt Romney replied, “I can tell you if I’m president of the United States, I will not be raising co-pays on soldiers that are wounded, on men and women who serve this country. And I will do everything in my power to help your son and the men and boys and women and girls like him.”

Today on America’s Newsroom, Mike Huckabee weighed in on this “risky moment” during the forum. He said this was a seminal moment in Romney’s campaign because, if he answered with a cold response, his campaign could have effectively ended.

“What people are looking for is not somebody who could solve problems, but someone at least who has some sense of (More…)

He’s the leader known as the Russian Rambo, and you have often seen him hunting shirtless and riding horseback shirtless (are we seeing a trend, here?). However, after winning Russia’s presidential election this weekend, the usually-tough ruler shed tears of joy. Putin declared himself the winner of the election, although only a quarter of the votes had technically been counted at the time.

According to exit polls, Putin took 59 percent of the country’s vote, yet independent watchdogs report widespread ballot rigging.

Bipartisan Panel Unable to Convince Group of Voters That They Will Pass a Budget

During the second half of the Super Tuesday special, a mixed party group of voters joined Frank Luntz to discuss more hot button topics. Luntz asked the voters what they think of Congress’s handling of the budget. Some responses from the group included sloppy, blindfolded, corrupt and partisan. Only one person had a favorable impression of how Congress has dealt with the budget.

Budget Committee chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) was there to respond to their answers. “I expect that reaction,” he said, “because that’s the results that Congress has provided. The system is broken. We’re in paralysis. Our government has been making promises to people that it knows it can’t keep. Both political parties have done this.”

Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO) thinks everyone in Washington is responsible for the failure to pass a budget, saying, “There’s a reason we have a nine percent approval rating (More…)
