Peace process

It was refreshing to read the interview with Mani Shankar Aiyer as it brought out the best in the gentleman. I was pleasantly surprised to see how very secular he is and how unlike some of his contemporaries, he is not ashamed to acknowledge his Pakistani (of course, it wasn’t Pakistan then) roots....

Gujarat massacre

This is in response to the letter by Bhaskara Sujeet Kumar (March 2). In his letter, Kumar narrated his own story about Gujarat massacre, he looked upset over the media coverage of anti-Muslim Gujarat riots, there is no doubt at all that the Gujarat carnage was a well planned and the worst massacre in the Indian history in which thousands of Muslims were brutally killed under the observant eyes of the BJP ruled state administration....

Apology not enough

I have seen and perhaps everybody would also endorse my observation that the Americans are very proud of their soldiers and irrespective of party affiliations (whether Democrat or Republican), they hold a special position for the armed forces personnel in their hearts.
