ZukAang - Chapter 13 SPOILERS by *Street-Angel

I know there is probably someone out there who will present this joke in a much funnier way but I had to try my hand at it.

I've been looking to branch out my style into drawing boys...and attempting to improve my comicing...this was too good to miss.

---------------SPOILERS---------------

If you don't get the joke then either you haven't seen Dragon Ball Z Cell Saga or you haven't seen Chapter 13 of Book 3 of Avatar.

Basically, Zuko is trying to teach Aang to Firebend and it turns out he (Zuko that is) can't fire bend himself. Taking some advice from Toph about learning from badger moles Zuko and Aang head off to the Sun Warrior ruins, the first firebenders, they learnt from dragons, to see if they can find anything. They end up coming across these statues of these fire bending stances called the dancing dragon.

Turns out this ancient civilisation is still alive and puts the two to a test where they are presented before the masters. Turns out the masters are the last surviving dragons. Iroh got his title Dragon from "defeating" a dragon, the last dragon in fact. Turns out Iroh lied about defeating the last dragon so as to protect them. Gotta love Iroh

Anyway, the two perform the dance at the top of the steps and the last stance is the spitting image of the fusion technique used in Dragon Ball Z. In that show two people of equalish power can fuse together after performing a much similar routine and shout fusion at the end of the moves and voila, they fuse into one.

About the actual thing.

Panels 1 and 2 were digitally repainted over the original screencaps but I did paint them myself and I am proud of how the dragons came out in panel 2.

Panels 3 and 4 you can see the outlines that I drew from reference and painted the colours in.

EDIT: I've been on deviantArt a while and I've seen a lot of deviants complaining about stuff being deleted and deviantArt being unfair. I can now say I agree with them.

I recieved a note saying that they deleted this strip because it was a copywright violation because panel 5 was originally a screenshot that has now been very badly painted over.

Couldn't they have just sent me a warning? I'd have changed it right away. And one more thing I don't get why do they put a url link to the piece they deleted when they deleted it? What are you supposed to see?

Anyway...this is a repost and that's 34 favourits and 31 comments down the drain. I know that probably sounds really snobby but I really like getting comments...as does anyone, I mean you want to know what people think right? So yeh, I'm just a little bit miffed right now.
