UK: Song for the Hump premiered next week

UK's entry to the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest will be revealed on Monday 19th March. In the beginning of this month BBC announced that the British star Engelbert Humperdinck will represent the country in Baku.

The song that the Hump will perform in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest will be premiered next Monday on BBC’s official Eurovision website. Filming for the preview clip of Engerlbert’s Eurovision entry will kick-off tomorrow. Humperdinck will be representing the UK with a track produced by Grammy award-winning Martin Terefe (Mary J Blige, James Morrison) and co-written by Martin and Ivor Novello winner Sacha Skarbek (Adele, Lana Del Ray, and James Blunt). So far BBC did not reveal the title of the song.

Last week it was reported that Engelbert Humperdinck is confident on the prospect to do well in the Eurovision Song Contest. His 45-year old career is glittered by much success as he sold 150 million records. Humperdinck's song will be revealed just on time with the head of delegations meeting in Baku. Each delegation will submit the country's entry to the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. The United Kingdom will compete in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 26th May.

@ Number 1 Loreen (THE WNNER) Fan ...... I see Loreen has borrowed Carola's wind machine. This, as we all know, is an essential part of most Swedish performances at Eurovision. Good luck to Engelbert, I hope you can bring some overdue pride back to the United Kingdom.

@Maximilian Anderson: Outdated and boring song? Yeah, because that's what the writers/producers for Adele, Lana del Rey, James Morrison, Mary J Blige come up with, isn't it?

Well there were rumours a couple of months ago that James Morrison was working with Engelbert on a new song called "Real Love". Does anyone know about that.....or did anything come of it...?

Ughh the people spamming with posts of "Sweden will win!!" need to stop. It's only making me NOT want to vote for it. As for Engelbert.. I just have a bad feeling his song is going to be a really boring and outdated ballad. :/

This news is actually quite good. It means that Azerbaijan will not be able to better it as both songs will be announced at the same time!!!!

Im soo intriqued as to what the song will be like. My hopes are very high as Engelbert is a wonderful singer and with singers of his kind, with age the voice gets better and better like a fine wine I suppose you could say. Some people obviously won't get that. Im the kind of person that prefers voices as they grow older. Give me later years Billie Holiday over any of todays "singers". The song though is obviously the most important thing so heres hoping it's good and something maybe a little bit unexpected.

I really don't care about his age, i prefer him to many young talentless singers who can't sing at all.
