Robocall Election Fraud in District 10

Democrats from all over the district are reporting the same thing. They are receiving a robocall from a group claiming to be a Right to Life group explaining that “they will be recieving an absentee ballot application in the mail” even though today is election day and too late to use the application.

Today, Tuesday July 12, is the last day to vote in the Democratic Primary. You DO NOT have time to mail in your ballot at this point. If you intend to vote, go to your nearest polling station today to vote or to deliver your absentee ballot in person. This robocall is election fraud at its worst. If you receive this call from phone number 703-410-3201, or any other number with area code “703″ (Virginina) – RECORD it and report it.

UPDATE: Thanks to a blog reader, Sharon Johnson, I was able to call the number she provided (1-877-855-5007) and speak with two women in the office. These calls and absentee ballot request forms are being sent by the Wisconsin Right to Life group. They said that the absentee ballot request forms and robocalls were intended for the general election, not the primary election today.

Betty, at the WI Right to Life office, admits that the robocalls do not indicate which election and furthermore said “very, very poor timing on our part. It was supposed to have been done yesterday. But the company who did it apparently did not complete it and they chose to complete it today. And the timing admittedly was horrible….There are no more robocalls coming in.”

I will be posting the full recorded interview shortly.

I received a call late yesterday from this so-called “Right to Life” group. Very strange. Sunday morning received the first of several robo calls promoting their fake candidate Isaac Weix — untraceable number, caller “out of my area” message. Three “missed calls” too, no message. More robo calls? Ten years ago, Republicans turned me from a weak Independent into a well-informed Democrat. So, I’ll be voting for Shelly Moore today, and future dates are already marked on my calendar.

Just because some group is an idiot on behalf of a Republican candidate doesn’t mean you need to lose all your intellectual capacity and join the tax and spend libs who’s only message is class warfare.

I also received 2 calls from this group and today received my absentee ballot request which in very very fine print states that “This form is NOT an official form by the Wisconsin Accountability Board” It was sent by Wisconsin Right to Life – 9730 W Bluemound Rd, Suite 200 Milwaulkee Wi 53226 should anyone care to visit their office.
I hope these people will be prosecuted and fined big time to the full extent of the law and a class action lawsuit on behalf of Wisconsin citizens would not be out of order. Interfering with elections is a seriously criminal offense.
I have already voted for Shelley Moore and my polling place said the turnout was amazing so far. They were concerned about running out of paper ballots.

Time for the investigations to begin. Oh, I also received a nasty call in support of whatever his name is -

  7. Sharon Johnson says:

And you can call these people at 1-877-855-5007 I just called them to let them know that I had already voted for Ms. Moore As Bart Simpson would say – HA HA – fill up their phone lines

    • SueBee says:

That’s actually Nelson Muntz! Right show, different character. But yeah, right on for you! Glad you got what’s important all figured out in the end.

Thank you for posting on this robocall here. I included a couple links back to you from my blog where I added some more. Let me know if there are further developments on this and I in turn will stop by here if I get more info. Forward. http://www.bluecheddar.net/?p=10878

  9. Charles says:

How is this election fraud? They have identified you as a pro-life person (probably a mistake since you support Moore) and are assisting you in getting an absentee ballot for the election. Why does this make you angry?

    • Candace Bettendorf says:

I got a couple of these calls, too, and I’m a Republican. I took the sensible route and ignored them.

    • Erin says:

Why would you make such assumptions? I am pro-life, pro-woman choosing and I support Moore because Harsdorf hates education and teachers. If you support her you must also hate teachers and don’t care about education. How’s that for broad assumptions based on no facts?

      • where'sthetruth says:

Where’s the facts behind your statement, “Harsdorf hates education and teachers”?

Responsibly balancing the state budget= hates teachers?

How about: Teachers hate non-union WI taxpayers because teachers are now forced to pay their fair share for health insurance and pension?
        or
Unions hate anyone who keeps them from forcing people to belong to unions when hired for a job?

You may not like what Walker, et al did to reach a constitutionally mandated state budget, but unlike Doyle, et al, they did it by giving local districts more control over costs. And NO kid is going to get dumber because teachers now have to write a check for their union dues.

    • TK says:

The robo calls were purposely misleading people to believe that they didn’t have to worry about voting in the primary election. Passing out incorrect information to disenfranchise voters isn’t legal and these calls ought to be investigated. Messing with our democracy so brazenly is not something that should be ignored.

R’s pass an unnecessary vote ID bill that costs millions of $$’s while this crap will be ignored. These are the exact type of things that ought to get prosecuted. A few felony convictions and people will think twice about committing voter fraud.

  12. Rebecca says:

I am very suspicious that these calls are being done by Infocision Management Corporation in Akron (Bath) Ohio–they are the republican propaganda arm in association with Fox News and Citizens United and Newt and Huck and so on and Right to Life, NRA–you name the conservative org and and all calls are made by these corrupt telemarketers who lie to old people to take their money all the time. Google them. They are severely corrupt and need to be taken down!

  13. MrsRaptor says:

It takes a lot to leave me dumbfounded but I must admit that call did it. I’ve been an election official a long time and never once have I heard of a group mailing out absentee ballot requests to voters so the voters can mail them back to the group in question. In every other instance that I have heard of when groups mail absentee ballot applications to voters the voters are directed to send them to the local clerk of the election.

As an election official the very first thought I am going to have if I get a packet of absentee ballot applications from a group (any group) instead of directly from the voters themselves is “election fraud” and I am NOT even going to be processing them because it is likely they are fraudulent applications. My second thought is going to be to pick up the phone and make three phone calls (State Police, Bureau of Elections and FEC) because it’s a CRIME for me to suspect election fraud and NOT report it.

Talk about setting the voters up… here you have a bunch of voters thinking “I’ve sent my application to vote absentee in so I don’t need to do anything other than wait for my ballot” and so they *wait* for a ballot that is likely NOT going to arrive.

  14. Candace Bettendorf says:

    Paranoia rules.

    • MrsRaptor says:

Candace, I’m an election official with 30 years of experience who has seen enough voter fraud over those 30 years to know voter fraud when I see and hear it. Someone, regardless of their political leanings, who is not a clerk of the election and saying to voters “return your absentee ballot application to us for processing” IS committing election fraud.

NO clerk of the election with more than 10 minutes of training is going to process a pile of applications that came in the mail from a source they cannot verify when the envelope contains 40 applications for absentee ballots with 40 different mailing addresses.

That is not “paranoia”… it’s knowledge, experience and FACT.

      • Candace Bettendorf says:

You’re right. I wasn’t specifically aiming my comment at you. I know the clerk in our township is going through a difficult time right now fielding unreasonable and questionable demands, and I sympathize with you. I agree that absentee ballots should be requested by the voter, and not offered by a 3rd party. I think we should all be careful of the offers and calls we get during a campaign. While many are legitimate, some aren’t. I have this problem of trusting everyone, which has gotten me into trouble a few times.

I do feel that requiring photo ID in order to vote is reasonable. I showed my this time when i voted with no problem, even though most of the election officials knew me. There is probably more voter fraud in the large cities than in the rural areas, but I am glad that such a simple thing as an ID can help.

        thank you for correcting me.

I’ve received mailings before asking me to feel out an application for an absentee ballot. Political organizations send this to those they have identified as a supporter of their candidate or their party. It’s not that unusual.

Anyone see the Milwaukee Journal online today? They ruled Moore’s attack commerical to be full of lies.

  17. Jane Hudalla says:

Chcuk, I have never registered as a member of any political party. However, a similar “Pro Life” doc was sent to me prior to the last regular election. I thought it was strange then too. Why would I send them a request for a ballot to vote? And altho I think abortion sucks, I have been pro-choice since before Roe vs. Wade. Remember that? I do, because that’s when my excellent GYN, Dr. Jane Hodgeson, moved to DC to fight long and hard for women’s rights, probably because she was tired of being called in the middle of the night to patch up carnage done illegally.
