Kowalczyk joins Zagłębie on free transfer

LUBIN, Poland. Aug 26 (PSN) - Marcin Kowalczyk has joined KGHM Zagłębie Lubin and is the club's latest signing in the summer transfer window.

The media has long suggested on the return of Kowalczyk to Poland. GKS Bełchatów was also mentioned by the media to be linked with the player.

But Zagłębie Lubin showed more determination. In bringing this player coach Jan Urban was very keen in, who he was looking for a player that could compete for the right defense.

Kowalczyk will join the Ekstraklasa side on a free transfer, as he previously terminated the contract with his former club - Dynamo Moscow.

Previously, the Polish player represented, among others the colors of clubs such as: Metalurh Donetsk in Ukraine, and GKS Bełchatów.

Kowalczyk also has been capped seven times for the Polish national team.
