Fixing and News Production

Global Productions provides fixer production coordination services for TV, video, radio and newspaper productions in Tunisia and Western Libya. In the last months we have provided fixer services to TV and video productions of Aljazeera English, 60 Minutes, CNN, CBS News, TF1 and many other broadcasters. We have also worked with newspapers and magazines such as the Financial Times, Der Spiegel, Monocle, the Sunday Times and others

A fixer is a local coordinator, production manager, or field producer. Our fixers are highly experienced professionals. All are fluent in English  in addition to French and Arabic.

We are pioneering this field in Tunisia where the press was oppressed up to Jan 14th. Our team’s experience is growing day by day and our clients appreciate the large array of skills that we managed to put together. Whether our customers are interested in the 3000 years of history of Tunisia, any current affairs story including social issues, conflicts or want to follow a story related to the complicated post revolution political reality, we offer producers a wide range of services to facilitate an affordable production at the highest professional standard. For instance, we can count among our team two Fulbright award winners, one MBA, a physician and communication experts.

We are able to provide productions with a full package of services – from initial research, shooting authorizations, guest booking, coordination, filming and post production. In some cases, the journalist or producer are the only persons traveling to Tunisia, then we are responsible for the professional crew and production staff. In other cases, we are working together with a visiting crew and provide them with any services they require here.

We have a coordinator, or fixer, running each production. The fixer is the local key person in the production. All our fixers / coordinators are experienced and they are backed constantly by our Tunis office where an experienced team is monitoring media, pitching stories and providing immediate guest booking and other logistical services. Global Productions employs young fixers, both men and women, who are all interested in the field of journalism and media.
