Alexander Rybak, the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, Howie D from the Backstreet Boys and last year's Danish representative, A Friend In London performed as special guests during the show.
Soluna Samay is a multi-talented international singer songwriter currently based in Denmark. She was born in Guatemala on August 27th, 1990.

Thank you Denmark!!! What a qreat and melodic winner!!!!! Beautifully sonq by Soluna....!!!! We vote for you!!!!!
Not a bad song, I quite like it. I'm not sure it will be top 10. It will of course bag 12 points from Iceland lol
I was at Dansk Melodi Grand Prix and am delighted with the winning song, it was the best performance too :)
It's already on the Radio here in Iceland! so the 12 points go to Denmark again.... like usual
Again a very good song from Denmark. To be honest that's my kind of music. Yes I konw ESC wants more glamour (but why did AZB win then...??) but I need this songs in the contest. I hope for the final. Good luck Denmark
I love the danish entry!! 12 Points from Germany. :)
Boring boring boring...I say in finnish ''pliisu'' ...so nothing! -.-
Not a bad song at all and she sings it well. Needs some work on the presentation for sure. Good luck to Denmark.
Here is my ranking of the chosen songs along with marks! 1. Albania - A wonderful song which is so so powerful, the vocals are amazing not to mention Rona as a performer. Somepeople say this is boring and too loud however I disagree, the song can achive a top 10 in Baku easily with the right stageing! 9/10 2. Denmark - We can all say its boring, dated ect.. but I do like it and to be honest the Danes allywas play it safe (not 2007 :-D) The song is really nice something I would listen to if I wanted to be relaxed! Vocals are preety good but the stage performance does nothing for me, a revamp is needed. 7/10 3. Switzerland - This is not a bad song but I dont really go much on it. Its a little repative however its a good rocky pop song. Vocals are OK however I do have to complain concering the English pronouctation. It could make the final but I dont hold many hopes. I am just pleased they didnt send Lys Assia! 6/10 So far this year looks preety good with some great songs all we need now is for Cyprus to send La La Love and for Norway to send High On Love. Meanwhile there are some cracking songs in the Icelandic and Maltese national final! :-) ESC12 Could shape up to be the best yet!!!!! :-D EUROVISIONJACK
There were other SONGS I prefer to the winning song - "Best thin I got" and "Universe". But the performances made the difference. And I am thrilled that the danes (as opposed o the juries from Russia, Norway and Germany) chose Soluna from the final 3. I have no idea how it will do in Baku, it's way too early for that. But it is nothing to be ashamed of as so many times before. And if there will be 30 other songs better than this in Baku - well, good for ESC. Then it will be a fantastic song contest.
So far: 1. DENMARK, 2. SWITZERLAND 3. ALBANIA
The winning song is not bad but not very good either.... it's one of those songs that will be performed and instantly forgotten... I see Denmark for the first in a long time struggle to pass the semi...
Generally I like Denmark's entries. This one is not a bad song. Maybe it is too early to say but "should've known better" is not a favorite too
Why Denmark? Once again wasting real hits in you National Final. OK, the winner song is't bad, but you had much better last night on the stage! By the way, this song is quite similar to "Crazy" sang by Alanis Morisette, the difference is that I love Alanis' song and Soluma's one is like the bad copy...
I couldn't stop listening to this song today.I love it!! Hopefully, Malta will be giving high points to Denmark as usual:))
There were a few great songs last night, the winner may be a grower, its just not grabbing me yet. I have to admit that one line does stick in your head though which may help
Tillykke til Soluna - Finally we ( DK ) send something modern and different to ESc and all are just giving there negative comments it just so sad to see how music fans are treating some cointries. I am convinced Europe will give this entry a good welcome, winning or not in Baku . Good Luck Danmark
I like this song!! How nice it is! Goodluck Denmark :)
I couldn´t belive my eyes when i saw the danish voting. They had som many good songs to choose from, "Overflow", "The best thing", "Take our hearts" and "Reach for the sky". And what does Denmark do? The choose they WORST song im the whoe competetion to send to Baku! What a waste! The winning song is totally bland, it really has nothing. Might be Denmarks most boring entry ever. Sorry Denmark, you will stay in the semi for sure.
Great song, sounds like a winner. It's too early, but I think Denmark will be one of the favourites this year.
I thought all of the songs sounded very similar, all of them overproduced. The joy was produced out of the competition. What is Eurovision without fun! Less production more fun please!!!
I am not a fan of this song :/ its better then the swiss and albanian song thought.... Good luck bröder :)
Great song - fantastic performance! Denmark top5 again for sure - and this time they will DESERVE it! Its and original song - very very very good job Denmark:) And i just have to say - FANTASTIC FINAL! It was very well produced and once again Denmark will probably be having the BEST National Final stage of the year! AMAZING! :) Both Norway and Sweden can learn alot from Denmark about the production of the show, ESPECIALLY Norway!
No bad song !! Good luck Denmark !!
Giving it more of a listen and I'm still not too keen on it. Just meh. My order so far: 1st - Denmark (ironically) 2nd - Switzerland, 3rd - Albania. ESC 2012 needs improvement. I'm hoping Cyprus gives Ivi 'La La Love'. But if Norway sends 'Stay' then that'll compensate for the crappy start! :D.
Denmark has made the right choice. None of the other songs in last night's contest would have got them out of their semi final. I can't see this winning in Baku however.
I love this song :) Congrats Denmark :D See you in the FINAL :) Contagious melody ............. :)
