The captain of the National Team continues to have a greater impact as time goes by and that is not surprising when you take into account the qualities of this high level performer who is now one of the most experienced campaigners at the elite level. Dumerc is an athletic point guard with superb court vision who Pierre Vincent refers to simply as a ‘winner'. Widely known as one of the elite playmakers in Europe, it is her defensive qualities which remain arguably unsurpassed by her rivals. She is always willing and capable of neutralising the offensive threat of an opponent. Much of that is due to her quickness and outstanding speed which makes it hard for opposing guards to beat her off the dribble. Meanwhile offensively, her game has become even more consistent over time. For Sandrine Gruda and her influence in the frontcourt read, ditto in the backcourt for Dumerc. She has won a string of titles at club level both in France and Russia, been named a EuroLeague Women All Star and was a key figure in the 2009 EuroBasket Women success. With several key players missing at the FIBA World Championship Women, Dumerc stepped up her offensive production and led by example. Left-handed and a good three-point shooter, she once shared an apartment with and gained plenty of wise words and insight from National Team legend Yannick Souvre.
