Mariners' defender Greg Young has gone to Conference side Northwich Victoria on a months loan deal. 

Greg first team chances at Blundell Park have been limited this season and he has featured in just five games so far.

The 21-year-old centre-back arrived at Blundell Park from Sheffield Wednesday after impressing in a trial during the summer of 2002. He has committed himself to a further two years at the club this summer.

"I jumped at the chance," Greg told the Official Website. "It's a chance for me to play first team football.

"I'm looking forward to it." 

He is likely to go straight into the Vics' side to face Crawley on Saturday.
