JACKSON CAPPED IN CANADA DEFEAT

Posted on: Thu 19 Nov 2009

Gillingham's star striker Simeon Jackson earned his eighth international cap for Canada in last night's 1-0 defeat to Poland.

Jackson entered the fray in the 63rd minute of the Canadians international friendly in Bydgoszcz with his side already a goal down courtesy of Maciej Rybus' 19th minute strike.

The Gills forward made a lively cameo appearance causing problems for the Polish back four but was unable to find the net as the hosts ground out a win.

Simeon is due back in the country this afternoon and will link up with his Gillingham team mates tomorrow for the weekend's trip to Bristol Rovers.
