Nok Air offers come-back incentive

BANGKOK, 15 March 2012: Nok Air will kick off a Bt1,000 one-way promotion tomorrow for the members. It will be available for general customers from 19 March.

Eligible for all destinations, the booking period will end 27 March, while the fares are good for travel between 1 May and 30 September.

Also, yesterday it launched a midnight sales promotion for travel on routes from Bangkok and Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai as well as its secondary route Chiang Mai- Mae Hong Son.

SQ sells Aussie fares

BANGKOK, 2 March 2012: Singapore Airlines sells discounted fares for two persons travelling together to destinations in Australia.

The deals are: Bt22,800, all-inclusive to Perth and Darwin; Bt25,200 to Brisbane; Bt24,790 to Adelaide; Bt24,475 to Melbourne and Bt25,100 to Sydney. The fares are available at www.singaporeair.com, or through the airline’s appointed travel agents. Bookings must be made between 1 and 31 March and are valid for travel until 31 August.

Compared to offers on Thai Airways International, which has nonstop services, SQ’s one-stop deals are around Bt2,000 cheaper with the exception of Perth. Read more

Orient tie up with Doi Tung

BANGKOK, 2 March 2012: Orient Thai Airlines is packaging flights and sightseeing, for the first time to Chiang Rai’s Doi Tung, a former villa of the late Princess Mother, located on a mountain ridge 1,000 metres high.

The airline has two packages offering a three-day/ two-night stay bookable until 20 April with a travel period 27 February to 30 April.

The Bt9,990 package (per person, twin-share) is inclusive of return airfare, accommodation in a superior room at Doi Tung Lodge, admission fee to the Hall of Inspiration and the Royal Villa , Bt300 dinner voucher, Bt200 drinks voucher and a 15% discount voucher for Thai Rent A Car. Read more

KLM slashes Taipei fares

BANGKOK,29 February 2012: KLM will halt its Bangkok-Taipei service, 26 March, due to poor yields and uplift focusing instead on a nonstop service linking Amsterdam and Taipei.

The airline introduced its closing sale by selling tickets at Bt7,260 ex-Bangkok to Taipei.

Once KLM ends its Taipei service, just three airlines will serve the route; China Airlines, EVA Air, and Thai Airways International. Read more

THAI introduces 52nd Anniversary discounts

BANGKOK, 29 February 2012: Turning 52 years this May, Thai Airways International is selling discounted fares to mark its birthday, good for travel from 1 May to 30 September.

The THAI 52nd Anniversary fares are now available for online bookings for travel, ex-Bangkok, May to the end of September.

Travellers can expect a discount of around 5% to 30% depending on the route and when compared to market fares available in February. Read more

ROH packages Disneyland

BANGKOK, 21 February 2012: Royal Orchid Holidays is selling a Hong Kong Disneyland package that focuses on Toy Story Land the latest attraction at the theme park.

Bookable until end of March,  ROH’s Hong Kong Disneyland packages start from Bt17,750 inclusive of return airfares, two nights’ accommodation, based on twin share with breakfast and  a two-day Disneyland pass. The best deal runs out 12 March.

After that, prices increase to Bt18,915 for the second half of March and up to Bt19,330 until 30 June. Exceptions are 11 April and 1 May when prices peak at Bt21,000. Read more

PG offers Phuket discount

BANGKOK, 14 February 2012: Bangkok Airways has launched an online fare promotion to Phuket, but bookings must be in place by 29 February.

The deal is Bt2,090 per sector, excluding taxes and surcharges or Bt4,380, all-in for a roundtrip.

The travel period expires 31 March. Bangkok Airways operates six daily flights to Phuket. Read more

More deals from Middle East airlines

BANGKOK, 14 February 2012: Emirates and Qatar Airways are competing head on with deals across European networks plus a few other destinations in Southeast Asia, Africa and the Americas.

Emirates’ promotion is valid for bookings until 10 March, while travel ex-Bangkok is valid until 25 March. Exceptions include Dallas with a last outbound date of 30 April., travel to Seattle from 1 March to 30 April and Hare and Lusaka, until 30 May.

Emirates includes new destinations launched during the first quarter — Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires (3 January), Dublin (9 January); Lusaka, Harare and Dallas (2 February) and Seattle (1 March). Read more

Orient Thai cuts fares

BANGKOK, 13 February 2012: Orient Thai Airlines reintroduces ticket sets for travel through out this year.

The first one is a Mini I Pass, a set of three one-way tickets available on all routes and sold at Bt4,900 all inclusive (about Bt1,633 per sector).

For frequent travellers, the airline sells a Fly-Me pack with 12 one-way tickets, eligible for all routes and sold at Bt16,500 all-in, or Bt1,375 per sector. Read more
