Swanage Blues Festivals are known as The Big Blues Parties on the South Coast, and take place in March and October each year. There are 60 gigs of acoustic and electric blues-based music in 20 indoor venues.

If you've never been, take a look at what people said about the latest festival to see what you’ve been missing; if you're planning to come, book your accommodation early - these events are very popular.
Either way, why not join the Mailing List to keep up to date with our Monthly Newsletter?
There is no set admission charge to customers of the various pubs, restaurants and hotel bars that host the live music - but you will be asked to make a contribution of at least £5 a day towards festival funds. Not bad for 40 Acts in 20 indoor Venues!

Swanage is a delightful seaside town in Dorset on the south coast of England, close to Poole and Bournemouth, with a picturesque bay, award-winning beach, and a great climate. Apart from our two blues festivals, there are Festivals of Jazz, Folk, Strings, Film, Comedy, Walking, a Regatta & Carnival, and many wonderful attractions.
Take your pick from climbing, swimming, diving, fascinating architecture and scenery, oodles of culture, fossils and all sorts of interesting people - plus a wide range of places to eat, drink and sleep, award winning beaches, beautiful countryside, amazing changes of light...
I came here for two days in August 2000 and never left!
