We believe that real-world priorities such as homework, chores, and family dinner should take precedence over entertainment. Our Parental Controls provide parents and guardians with easy-to-use tools to set up rules for World of Warcraft play time and manage access to Blizzard Entertainment games in a way that fits your family’s situation:

Play-Time Limits

All things in moderation, even Blizzard games! Using our parental controls, you can easily set daily or weekly limits on the hours your child is allowed to play World of Warcraft.

Play Schedules

In addition to specifying the maximum hours your child can play World of Warcraft, you can create a custom play schedule. A selection of pre-set schedules such as “after school & weekends” and “weekends only” is also available.

Voice Chat

Battle.net includes built-in voice chat in games such as World of Warcraft and StarCraft II. You can manage your child’s access to voice chat, selecting from options such as “Listen and Speak” and “Listen Only.”

Real ID

Enabling Real ID gives your child access to additional social features, including cross-game chat. If Real ID is activated, the real name associated with the account (yours or your child’s) will be visible to others.

Play-Time Reports

You can choose to receive play-time reports delivered each week to your e-mail address. These reports contain details of your child’s play time, including login and logout times, the duration of each play session, and more.

Getting Started Is Easy

Simply have the Battle.net account login name and password handy, and click “Begin Setup.” Once you’ve entered the info, you’ll receive an e-mail that will act as your key to all of our Parental Controls features.
