Our mission is to make a more accountable society.

The BizWorld Ireland Foundation was founded in 2011 and is the Irish partner of the BizWorld Foundation in United States of America which was founded in 1997 by Tim Draper.

Today, BizWorld’s programmes are taught in more than 80 countries around the world. The workshops help students to develop the critical thinking, leadership and teamwork skills that allow them to become financially responsible and productive members of society. They show students how they will benefit from entrepreneurship, gaining confidence to reach their goals and helping them become part of the next generation of innovators.

The programmes and curricula apply to children from all socio-economic and academic backgrounds, providing them with valuable real-world experiences. The curricula are easy to teach – programmes can be completed in as little as 10 hours – and offer a refreshing complement to standardised learning.

The BizWorld Ireland Foundation ran pilot programmes in June 2011. Over the two days the children went right through the Entrepreneurial Cycle. They designed, produced, marketed and sold their products. At every stage in the process they had to make decisions on the allocation of financial resources while, at the same time, keeping an exact record of any money movement for later analysis.
The pilot was a great success and you can read the report in this BizWorld pilot programme June 2011 pdf.
