Christopher Waltz in Inglourious Basterds LA 1 14 10 Golden Globes 2010: Christoph Waltz Wins for Best Supporting Actor

And the winner for Best Supporting Actor goes to Christopher Waltz, the unrelenting”Jew Hunter” in Quentin Tarantinos latest piece of controversy, Inglorious Basterds. While Waltz has established himself internationally, he’s a fresh face for American cinema. Working along side Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger, and Eli Roth, Waltz is the cherry on top of the outstanding ensemble that has earned Inglorious Basterds a nod for Best Picture! Stay tuned!

Check out who he beat for the big award…

I want to hate Christoph Waltz but I can’t. Stanley Tucci has been giving strong, steady performances for years, but is just now getting the recognition he deserves. Unfortunately, it happened to be at the same time that Quentin Tarantino decided to pick Mr. Waltz from obscurity and give him a role in his latest movie. The actor has dominated the Best Supporting Actor category from every major critics group and now the major award ceremonies.

The only thing that keeps him off my hit list is his gracious attitude. His speeches are always so humble and sweet, and you can’t hate someone like that. It’s like hitting a kid with glasses, a limp, and a lisp, it’s just wrong. Congrats Christoph.
