[Madison, WI] – The Committee to Elect a Republican Senate (CERS) released the following statement regarding State Representative Jerry Petrowski’s announcement of candidacy for the 29th Senate District seat:
"We are thrilled that Rep. Petrowski has decided to run for the open seat in the 29th Senate District,” said Scott Fitzgerald, Senate Republican Leader and Chairman of CERS. “Jerry’s track record of exceptional service to his constituents is why he has been reelected by overwhelming margins in his district election after election.
“The choice between Jerry Petrowski and Donna Seidel is clear. Petrowski is the same guy in Marathon as he is in Madison, while Seidel talks a big game in Wausau but votes with the far left tax‐and‐spend crowd in Madison. This election will allow voters to choose a senator who will always look out for their interests first, and not bend to the wishes of out‐of‐state special interests as Seidel has. “CERS fully supports Petrowski’s candidacy, and we are looking forward to working with him in advance of the May 8th election.”
