The Arizona Diamondbacks announced today they have reinstated left-handed pitcher Zach Duke from the 15-day disabled list and optioned right-handed pitcher Kam Mickolio to Triple-A Reno, according to D-backs' Executive Vice President and General Manager Kevin Towers.

Duke, 28, was placed on the disabled list on March 30 (retroactive to March 22) with a broken left hand he suffered on a line drive comebacker in a Spring Training contest on March 12 against the Colorado Rockies and missed 51 games. In two rehabilitation games with Single-A Visalia and Triple-A Reno, he went 2-0 with a 5.23 ERA (6 ER in 10.1 IP) with a walk and 6 strikeouts. Over parts of 6 Major League seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Duke owns a 45-70 record and 4.54 ERA (486 ER in 964.1 IP) with 263 walks and 505 strikeouts in 160 games (159 starts). He was acquired from the Pirates on Nov. 24, 2010 for right-handed pitcher Cesar Valdez.

Mickolio, 27, has a 6.75 ERA (5 ER in 6.2 IP) with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts in 6 games over 2 stints with the D-backs.
