How Did You Get Started?
I have always enjoyed being active. After graduating from high school, I decided to join a gym. Little did I know that I would be meeting my future fiancé there. He taught me the basics of weight training and this sparked my curiosity. I began reading fitness magazines, asking questions, and experimenting in the gym. Eventually it became a hobby, and grew into a lifestyle.
What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
During my off-season I keep cardio at a minimal, and focus on resistance training. I like to focus on one or two muscle groups per day.

I love feeling strong and knowing that I am fueling my body with nutritious foods. After seeing improvements with my physique I am motivated to stick with it in order to keep those gains.
What Made You Want To Achieve Your Goals?
I watched the GNC San Diego Championships in 2010 and was completely inspired to compete. I was thoroughly impressed by all the athletes and the hard work they put in.
What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
I plan on competing in the 2011 NPC Los Angeles Championships and then The USA Championships in Las Vegas.
What One Tip Would You Give Other Fitness Competitors?
Don't worry about other competitors, just focus on your goal. The best feeling is to know that you did everything according to plan and that you presented your best version of you.
Who Are Your Favorite Fitness Competitors/Bodybuilders?
I admire the physiques of Alicia Harris, Kristi Tauti, and Mindi Smith.

I love getting on the forums and reading posts on there. There are posts for everything from workout advice to dieting. It's nice to connect with people that share the same interests. I also like updating progress pictures. It is a great way to view your progress. Pictures don't lie.
