JASON: Hi Paul. Only two more episodes to go. Reflecting
back on this season, who would you say your favorite new
character was, and why?
PAUL: Jason, another great question. I never cease to be
amazed at how your steel-trap mind works. It's a tough call
but I'd have to say my favorite new character of season
five is probably Audrey. She has added a perpetually
effervescent vibe to the show. She immediately brightens
up any scene. When she's around, you know some sort of
excitement is just around the corner whether it's her
sardonic quips or instigating a friendly bar room brawl
with Joey, who I think she was the perfect compliment to.
Yes, Audrey is definitely my favorite new character of
the season.

We got a lot of questions this week from people wanting to
know the directors of the list Dawson tells to Amy of great
movies from first time directors. Here is that list:
Reservoir Dogs (1992) - Quentin Tarantino
Les Mistons (1957) - Francois Truffuat
Strictly Ballroom (1992) - Baz Luhrmann
Diner (1982) - Barry Levinson
The Maltese Falcon (1941) - John Huston
Clerks (1994) - Kevin Smith
Body Heat (1981) - Lawrence Kasdan
Ordinary People (1980) - Robert Redford
Say Anything (1989) - Cameron Crowe
Some other insider tidbits about episode #521:
-James Van Der Beek actually had a part that was cut out in
the movie "Storytelling" that he discusses with Amy.
-The episode "After Hours" was tentatively titled
"One Night" and "Attack of the Older Women."
-Alex was originally named "Felicia."
-The reference to frozen junior mints was in honor
of executive producer paul stupin who loves frozen
junior mints.
-When Amy runs into Dawson outside the movie theater, her
line "Of all the movie joints in all the towns in all the
world..." is actually a play on the famous line from
"Casablanca", "Of all the gin joints in all the towns in
all the world, she walks into mine."

Welcome back to the "DC Fan of the Week" trivia, also known
this week as "Jason's Biggest Mistake Ever." That's right,
last week I made maybe my biggest mistake yet by claiming
we have never seen Jack kiss Tobey on screen. Thankfully,
I got about 800 emails telling me they indeed did kiss in
episode #420 "Promicide." How could I make such a mistake?
Well, besides being dropped on my head as a baby, there was
a time in season four when we never actually saw the
Tobey/Jack kiss on screen. Anyway, that's my excuse and
I'm sticking to it.
Congrats to BRITNEY who correctly answered last week's trivia
question about how many people we have seen Dawson kiss. She
answered "On screen Dawson has kissed Joey, Jen, Nina(the
film buff from Providence in episode #108) Eve, Amy, and
Gretchen."
This weeks question was sent in by lighthouse215 and
JJsQueen because they caught the mistake first...
Name all of the songs which joey has sung through out all
5 seasons.
Good Luck!
