for

Bacterial Group II Introns

Updates:

July 29, 2011

170 new introns added for a total of
-397 bacterial ORF-encoding introns
-19 bacterial ORF-less introns
-34 organellar introns
New searching and downloading functions
-BLAST your DNA sequence against our group II intron database to find matches
-Search for intron boundaries in a DNA sequence
-Download intron data

All introns listed are full-length and presumably functional for both splicing and mobility reactions. Some introns in previous versions of the database have been removed because of stop codons or frame shifts in the IEP, or deletions in the RNA structure.
