I am overjoyed and absolutely elated that my first fragrance – Beauty Icon (Eau de Parfum) is finally here! The making of Beauty Icon took over a year, but it was well worth the wait!

I was first approached by Bel Perfumes, a French company based in Thailand, back in 2010. Bel Perfumes have successfully launched three celebrities’ perfumes in the past few years, and those have become best sellers in their individual markets. So without hesitation, I decided to create my own fragrance with the help of their expertise.

The first step in creating a fragrance is choosing it’s juice, which was a very interesting and exciting process.  I had to visit the lab of V. Mane Fils (a French perfumer) to determine which scents and notes were compatible with me.  After testing and trying out many scents, Mane came up with 7 different fragrances, of which I chose my top 4.  Upon deliberation with Bel Perfumes, we determined which one of these 4 would be the best seller. And with that Beauty Icon was born!

I absolutely love my fragrance! It can be best described as a “floral-woody musk” and it represents beauty, elegance, and femininity.  The first impression top notes are derived from Bergamot, Mandarin Orange and Green Apple, and they convey a feeling of freshness and good mood.  The heart notes come from the flowers of Lily of the Valley, Magnolia and Pink Peony, which arouse the feelings of confidence and sensuality.  Finally, the base notes of Musk, Sandalwood, and Amber create a lasting impression of glamorous sophistication.

The next step was to create the name and tagline of the fragrance.  Bel Perfumes was spot on at determining my public perception and what I’m all about.  Their idea was, as a former Miss Universe, I hold an image of beauty and glamor.  So the name Beauty Icon - Inspired by Perfection seemed very fitting. But at the same time, my message has always been that of positive thinking and good attitude towards life (as this was my answer at the final question round at Miss Universe 2005 pageant).  We decided to make the image of Beauty Icon perfume to be that of a woman that is confident, conscious of her health, happy and positive.

The bottle was inspired by my crowning moment with the cap resembling the crown.  The bottle is tall, slim and elegant. We chose the blue color as it resonates with my eye color and my Thai nickname, Fah, which means blue.

With Beauty Icon, I want each woman who wears it to feel as the most beautiful woman in the world.  As I have always believed and advocated on my website, true beauty comes from a feeling of confidence, from inner peace, and from a happy mind.  So when you spray on this fragrance, I want you to get those feelings and watch your inner goddess come shining through!

Beauty Icon (Eau de Parfum) 100 mL is now officially launched in Thailand, and is sold at all MIST 1000 Parfums branches, leading department stores, as well as online at www.natalie-glebova-perfumes.com

It will be sold in several other countries in the up-coming months.
