May Crowning

The kids at my daughter's school have been looking forward to May Crowning for weeks.  There was much discussion about what to wear.  And, there was much talk of going to the mall.  The boys sported new ties and the girls new dresses.  It is not easy taking pictures in the cathedral.  The light is quite soft, but John snapped a few because I was not able to skip class for this event.  There is LibbyLu in my bow and pearls, her Mimi's sweater and a dress she made with a little help from her Mimi and me.  She did a good deal of the sewing and the dress turned out stunning.  A great first sewing of this level.  I think she may be motivated to create more dresses for the summer.  I sure hope so, because it was marvelous mother daughter time.

And, the winner is...

Congratulations to Jane of Jane's Fabric and Quilts.  You have won an unDeniably Domestic pincushion.  I am headed over to your blog to browse around and ensure that the pincushion I make for you steals your heart.

Jane's sweet comment:

Janes Fabric and Quilts said:  Oh Kelly!!! I just love it and so want to come and have a cup of tea. It is wonderful. Love the buttons and all the extras!

Thank you, Jane.  I had such a wonderful time on the hop.

It Is My Turn and A Giveaway

I am very excited that today is my day share for the Table Topper Blog Hop hosted by sweet Mdm. Samm of Sew I Quilt.  What could be a better way to celebrate our last day of the hop, but with a cup of tea?

Here is my little Perfect Time for Tea quilt on its Ackfeld stand.  Imagine my surprise when I found out that the Ackfeld company is from right here in the Ozarks.

Every good blog hop should have giveaways.  Right?  Leave a comment here on this post and I will draw a name Sunday, April 29 for a free teacup pincushion from the unDeniably Domestic Esty Shoppe.

Tuesday Blog Hop Update

Today was a great day for a hop.  I just love this sweet blue posy by Connie of Quilting by the River.

This scrappy by Jane has stolen my heart.  She has more on her blog:  Jane's Fabrics and Quilts.

There were several bunnies in the mix hopping around this past week.  I love the droopy ear on Roxanne's table topper quilt.  She claims to be a newbie, but you should see her work.

I am certainly getting into the spirit of summer and Selina of Selina Quilts is helping me with this red, white and blue table topper.

Syd showed her colors as she guest posted on Sew I Quilt.  Thank you, yet again, Mdm. Samm for a great hop.

Tomorrow is the very last day of our hop.  I am excited to show you what I have made.

Monday Blog Hop Update

We just keep hopping.  Only two days left until we can sit back and enjoy all of the wonderful inspration found in our hop.  It has been hard to choose my favorites each and every day.  I am thrilled to have found new blogs to follow and so appreciate all of you who have joined me here.  The above table topper quilt is entitled Lorna's Vine.  Isn't it lovely?  This quilt was created by  Judy of Shade Tree Quilts.

I love the dots of this table top quilt which can be found over at Just Let Me Quilt.  I have made this star several times, and love the movement of the design.

Many of the quilts in this hop has made me yearn for summer - not just the weather, but the end of the semester.  If you are a teacher, you know what I mean.  Christine of Quilt Monster in my Closet has shared this pretty table top quilt and others.

Elaine is certainly getting us ready for summer.  I just love her yoyos.  She guest posted here at Sew I Quilt.  Don't forget to leave her a comment.

I have been so drawn to little triangles lately.  Leanne of Daisy and Jack has shared several red and white themed mini quilts, but I love this one best I think.

Like me, Patty is a first time blog hop participant.  Her work is such fun.  Don't you love her lighthouse?  Maybe you will want to vacation with her this year to see it in person.  I know I would love to.  Check out her design at A Stitch in Time.

Wendy's wonderful design will steal your heart away as it did mine.  She really knows how to tell a story in fabric.  Check out her beautiful work at Why Knot Kwilt?.

Mdm. Samm is the queen of our hop.  She has a marvelous blog - Sew I Quilt.  Don't forget to visit her and tomorrows hoppers as well:
