Remarks:
Originally intended as CAMBERLEY, a cargo vessel of the Haslemere type, she was adapted before completion to enable her to carry cars and passengers as an answer to Townsend Bros FORDE operating from Dover. Cars loaded by crane/ships derrick.
Entered service Dover/Calais 31/3/1931.
Lifted 712 men from Dunkirk 03/06/1940.
1941/1945 requisitioned as troop transport, and later as a recreation ship for RN at Lyness.

Channel service 12/1945
Withdrawn early 1954 left Dover under tow 06/08/1954 for Ghent; scrapped by Van Heyghen Freres
