Scholarship Giving

At Juilliard, admission has always been based on talent and dedication alone. We believe that no student should be denied a Juilliard education for want of funds. With 90 percent of our students typically eligible for financial assistance, every newly created scholarship represents important progress towards Juilliard’s goal of securing the resources required to meet their needs. All contributions to The Juilliard School for scholarships are fully tax deductible.

THE JUILLIARD SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Offering support to any student with need, this important fund makes a Juilliard education possible for many deserving young artists. Gifts in any amount are gratefully welcomed. You can make a donation to the Juilliard Scholarship Fund online.

A NAMED SCHOLARSHIP

With a gift of $2,500 or more ($1,000 in the Pre-College Division) a scholarship can be established in the name of the donor, or in honor or memory of someone special. Donors may fund a scholarship on an annual basis, or permanently endow a scholarship at Juilliard to create a lasting legacy that will support talented young artists for generations to come.

 Minimum contribution for

  • named annual scholarship in the College Division: $2,500
  • named annual scholarship in the Pre-College Division: $1,000
  • permanently endowed scholarship (College Division): $50,000
  • permanently endowed scholarship (Pre-College): $25,000

All scholarship recipients are chosen by a Juilliard committee of senior administrators and faculty primarily on the basis of financial need, as well as artistic merit. Donors may not select recipients.

If you are considering establishing a scholarship through a bequest or another type of deferred gift please visit the Planned Giving section.
