Miranda

In anticipation of the release of Sex and the City 2 Somer Perez of The Empire Lobby Bar in New York City created this fabulous cocktail as a part of a specialty cocktail menu. The Miranda has a gin base, using Bluecoat which I believe is one of the best American gins available to date, with a beautiful lemon puree and simple syrup for sweet and sour element. It also has a wine aspect via both Lillet Blanc and your favorite pinot noir. I love the floating of the pinot as the finishing touch because most of us would not think of that, but it adds both taste and visual depth to the drink.
