Raritan River Dams To Be Removed

The Department of Environmental Protection has announced that is has funds for the removal of 3 dams along the Raritan River in Central NJ. The first dam to be removed is the so called Calco Dam in Bridgewater NJ – Read More. The other Two dams are the The Nevius Street Dam and The Robert Street Dam both in Hillsborough – read more.

Removal of the dams should help spawning striped bass, herring, American eel and shad.
