Wow! Lots of people like whimsical, novelty fabric, I guess! 245 comments! And what nice comments, to boot. I loved reading each and every one, and seeing where you hale from.
I decided to choose two winners because I have quite a bit of the green and white animal print.
So random number generator (sorry, I did not copy and paste it) chose number:
150: Pam from England, so, congrats, Pam, you win a half-yard of each print.
And then I randomly chose:
Victoria from Ohio to win a half-yard of the animal print.
Thanks, everybody! Please visit me from to time. I know I will be visiting many of you as I was quite intrigued reading your comments and checking out your blogs.
come tarry with me

I'm a late Sew Mama...
but better late than not at all. I'm giving some fabric away:
The colors are more vivid than shown here, but I'm offering up three half yards:
1) Odyssea by Momo for moda; 2) Merry Mushrooms by Windham; and 3) Jackie Shapiro, Animal Stencil, also by Windham.
All you need to do is leave a comment. Tell me what State/Country you hale from. If you'd like to tarry with me when I post, you are most certainly welcome, but it's not necessary to win.
And don't forget to check out all the other giveaways at http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/
Good luck! I will announce and email the winner by the 27th.
Till then, may you bless and be blessed!

Two steps forward...
three steps back.
You may be tired of seeing this quilt. I had it all pin-basted but could not make any headway in quilting it on my home sewing machine. I attempted twice and ended up using Jack, the ripper. The pins are now all out, the three layers are separated and folded up, and I hope to bring it to a long-arm quilter tomorrow for a custom quilting job.
What are you up these days? I hope you are getting more sewing in than I am. Enjoy your Sunday!

Photo-laden post...
my niece asked if I would make a baby quilt for her boyfriend's sister's baby, so, I did:
Here's the tutorial from http://www.dontcallmebetsy.com/2011/11/sweet-girlie-charm-square-quilt.html It was quick and easy. I made an additional one, too, and let my niece choose which one she liked better. I'll show the one she didn't choose when it's all done.
I thought FMQing was appropriate and didn't try to make the flowers and hearts perfect so it would look like a child drew them. I think I succeeded!
On a side note, I love the name of her blog, "don't call me betsy". I work with someone whose name is Mary Beth and SHE says, "Don't call me Mary Beth!" So, what does she go by? Betsy! Just a small example of how we are all so different in this world, and we need to respect each other and embrace our individuality.
Have a great weekend!
