Teotihuacan is a spectacular archaeological site just outside of Mexico City. This site is definitely worth a visit. When it was at its peak around the year 200, it was one of the biggest cities in the world. Cinco de Mayo is just over a week away, and they're planning a blowout party in Puebla to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the event which this holiday commemorates. If you're still under the misapprehension that May 5th is Mexican Independence Day, I suggest you read up on the origin and history of Cinco de Mayo! Festivities in Puebla will include a mole festival, a concert by pop singer Marc Anthony, a nighttime pyrotechnics show, and a massive parade marshaled by President Felipe Calderon with some 30,000 participants and 62 floats.
