Global superstar Adam Lambert's sophomore album, "Trespassing", debuts at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and #1 on the Billboard Digital Albums Chart.

This marks Lambert's first #1 debut and makes history for another reason - Lambert is the first ever openly gay male with an album at the top of the charts.

Adam's first album debuted in the #3 position in 2009. Additionally, "Trespassing" debuts at #1 on the SoundScan Chart and Digital Albums Chart in Canada.

"Trespassing", which was released on RCA Records/19 Recordings on May 15th, was executive produced by Lambert and has been met with incredible critical reviews. Rolling Stone declares that "Trespassing" is "the great pop album everybody was hoping Adam Lambert would make" while New York Daily News exclaims, "it's the sound of liberation achieved." People Magazine raves that "Lambert stakes claim for the divos on his glamtastic second set" and USA Today proclaims that it is "the album that fans have been wanting from him."

In addition to co-writing many of the tracks, Lambert collaborated with an all-star list of award winning artists, producers and songwriters including Pharrell Williams, Claude Kelly, Benny Blanco, Bonnie McKee, Nile Rodgers and Sam Sparro.

Lambert's current single, the explosive "Never Close Our Eyes," was written and produced by Bruno Mars and Dr. Luke, and is currently cruising up the charts having just impacted at radio.

Since the release of Lambert's debut album, For Your Entertainment , in 2009 it has sold nearly 2 million copies worldwide. Lambert was nominated for a Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Whataya Want From Me" in 2010 and also released the Glam Nation Live CD/DVD and Acoustic Live! EPs. He is first American Idol to ever tour the world in support of their debut album in the year following their IDOL season. In November of last year, Adam took to the stage in the finale of the MTV Europe Music Awards to sing lead vocals with Queen, who were being honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Their captivating performance is widely regarded to be the highlight of the entire EMA ceremony and an indication of the outstanding years ahead in the career of Adam Lambert.
