Delana Jones is a Vice President at MCG with a diverse background in electoral politics and corporate communications. She has been involved on all levels of a campaign, served as a public relations specialist in the banking industry, led strategy and creative for Stonyfield Farm Inc., and for three years produced some of the most memorable and award winning political advertising.
At MCG, Delana designs and implements sophisticated, strategic communications for MCG clients, including progressive organizations and campaigns.
In 2011, Delana helped orchestrate Rep. Chris Murphy's announcement for the U.S. Senate with this strategic online video "Ask Chris" that has over 5,500 views on YouTube.
In 2010, Delana worked to re-elect Sen. Patty Murray, Rep. Chris Murphy, Rep. Jim Matheson, Gov. Mike Beebe, and elect Attorney General George Jepsen. She also helped Joe Manchin take "Dead Aim"to win the only Senate seat to be picked up by Democrats.
In 2009, Delana helped to elect New York City's Public Advocate Bill de Blasio.
In 2008, Delana zig zagged the country working to elect two new Democratic Members of Congress, both of whom defeated incumbent Republicans. She also helped to re-elect Sen. Tim Johnson and produced ads for the DGA, DCCC, & DSCCC Independent Expenditures.
Delana grew up in Arkansas and graduated from Westminster College with a degree in Political Science. She spent the majority of the last decade in New Hampshire working to elect Democrats up and down the ballot, including Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Gov. John Lynch. She served as the Political Director of the NH Democratic Party and worked for Gov. Howard Dean in the Presidential Primary in 2003. Delana is extremely involved in working to advance equal rights and is on the board of Standing Up for New Hampshire Families.
When not in the throws of a political campaign, you'll find Delana cooking, concert hopping, in a museum, shopping or hanging with her black lab Ellie.
