"This would allow us to start preliminary works in the close season and we could then commence building works on the East Stand in August or September.

"The works should not affect the normal seating positions in the East Stand as the construction would take place behind the existing stand.

"The new seats would be available for use from the start of the 2008/9 season, with the new capacity of the stadium at around 30,000 with an additional 6,000 seats in the East Stand.

"When that work is completed, we could then start work on the South and North Stands to eventually take the total capacity up to between 37,000 and 38,000."
