If you're addicted to denim like we are (um, or just looking for an excuse to buy more), then good news! Your basic blues are about to get a makeover, thanks to a MAJOR dip dye moment happening in the fashion world right now. Dries Van Noten first showed its version of this one-two punch last year on the Spring/Summer 11 runway, and it's held steady ever since- but you don't have to drop hundreds of dollars on a designer version to score the style for yourself. Topshop, JBrand, ASOS and Free People all offer their own takes on the trend, whether it's bleach, ombre, or statement color-blocking. Or if you're the adventurous type, all it takes is a bottle of Chlorox, an old pair of jeans, and a free afternoon to craft your DIY version. Whichever method you choose to take, these three bloggers show you how to work your dip dye denim afterward.

The late '90s/early aughts heyday of boy bands (and girl bands, too!) were a very interesting times for music group fashion. The One Direction dudes may be the current Kings of Coordinating™, but they're only the latest evolution of a time when boy bands didn't simply match. They often replicated entire outfits 4 or more times over for each member. One such group, 98 Degrees, is finally reuniting this summer at Pennsylvania's Mixtape Festival, and in honor of the good news, we've rounded up the top 5 iconic looks we're crossing our fingers for Nick, Jeff, Drew, and Justin to wear for their comeback.

WHITE HOT SEPARATES

The all-white look was a pretty standard one for boy bands of this era, but none carried it quite as well as 98 Degrees. These crisp, white ensembles with their clean lines and easy, relaxed fit ooze summery cool. Not to mention the sneakers and drawstring pants à la Nick Lachey are soooooo on-trend.

Ashley Greene

Ashley Greene at the Samsung Galaxy SIII launch in New York on June 20.

WHERE shall I even fail to begin to describe my/the MTV Style HQ/the universe's obsession with Ashley Greene? For sartorial-friendly starters, I often find myself on a lonely Saturday evening exclusively viewing Greene's scenes in Twilight whilst my mug is smeared in a overpriced clay mask in an attempt to emulate her immaculate superhuman skin glow. Weekday lunch breaks usually involve Google image searches ("Ashley Greene + Face of DKNY", "Ashley Green + front row at Donna Karan", "Ashley Greene leaving the gym remaining perpetually uh-mazing"). I must confess, excessive droolage on my Macbook happens. Another newsflash: I nearly collapsed last night, and it had nothing to do with the oppressive New York heat wave. Ms. Greene played hostest-with-the-mostess enviable designer-filled closet/skin/life for Samsung Mobile's launch of the Samsung Galaxy SIII (Call me on that Samsung, maybe/def, Ash.). As I inappropriately schvitzed away in my acid-wash DIY daisy dukes—for which Greene complimented me (thx, girl!)—I attempted to pull myself together to chit-chat with her over the blaring beats courtesy of Swedish House Mafia's Sebastian Ingross and surprise guest performer, Skrillex (!!!). The Pucci-perfection clad Greene filled me in on fantasies of playing dress-up with Katy Perry and Debbie Harry (*dead*) and tips on attempting to be as drop dead gorgeous as her. Hint: less is more. Take notes, dear readers.

Shirley Manson performing at Garbage's New York show in May.
Photo:Brendan Tobin/ MTV

She once fronted Calvin Klein's beauty campaign, works latex and lace like nobody’s business, and serves as an aspirational style icon for ‘90s girls everywhere (myself included). But nowadays Shirley Manson is quick to tell you she’s NOT a quote-unquote fashion person. “I really don’t give it too much thought,” the Garbage frontwoman told MTV Style when we caught up with her just before the band's concert on May 22 in New York. “I’m just not that tuned in now.” She wasn't kidding, as she didn't even namecheck what she was wearing that day, save for her Alexander Wang leather jacket and LAMB shoes (gifted by Gwen herself, natch). But with the group's newest release, the so-awesome-it-hurts Not Your Kind Of People, Manson’s about to get back in the fashion game… onstage, anyway. She has a stylist for the first time on Garbage’s massive world tour this summer, so that means there’s plenty more hot pants, minidresses, and heels to come. Oh, and as for that iconic pink boa? We’ll just have to wait and see….

The hilarious and humble rock star filled us in on her wardrobe, the problems with wearing heels onstage, and the perks of being famous (hint: free clothes) in this exclusive video. Watch it below, and then go and crank up “Blood for Poppies” as loud as you can.

Daria and Jane are the coolest girls in school.
Photo: MTV

Do you feel misunderstood? Do you think the whole world is lame? Do you wear the same outfit every. single. day? Well, there's someone who understands how you're feeling and then some. We're talking, of course, about MTV's favorite misfit Daria. The show will be back on the air as part of the channel's summer morning series Retromania, with select episodes airing between 9 AM and 12 PM from July 30th to August 3rd. The show spanned five seasons, so they won't be showing it from start to finish, but you'll get enough deadpan delivery and sardonic social commentary to make facing the mall bearable this summer. Born as a Beavis and Butt-head spin-off, Daria is classic MTV at its best (and we swear we're not just saying that)- funny, smart and with a razor sharp sense of humor. One of the best things about the show was definitely Daria and her bestie Lane's same-clothes-every-day steeze. Luckily the 90's are back in a BIG way, so there are plenty of options if you want to get the look! We wish we still had our Doc Martens from back in the day...

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez wears sparkly nude bodysuits on her "Dance Again" world tour, at the 2011 American Music Awards, and at KIIS FM's 2011 Wango Tango.

You heard it here first, people. Jennifer Lopez really loves sparkly nude bodysuits. And loves to wear them on stage. In front of bajillions of people. And doesn't just sit on a bench, holding a pillow in front of her midsection. J.Lo, clad in nothing more than bedazzled full-body pantyhose, runs around and goes hard on complicated choreography and wind machines and teams of oiled up men *drops to knees in exaltation.* Though, if we looked THAT fine at 42 (after giving birth to TWINS, no less), well, we'd probably do it, too.

Rihanna Accessories

If there's one person that continually nails their street style look on a regular basis, it's Rihanna. Every time we spot her in a paparazzi photo, we're left wondering where she found her ridiculously awesome getup, and last night when she was perusing London, we couldn't tear our eyes away from her accessories! There was something so old timey, yet fresh, about her hat and necklace combination that we LOVED and needed to address immediately. First off—that cameo beanie! She took the wardrobe staple to a whole new level by placing a baroque brooch on the front, which we love! Lucky for you, we found the EXACT hat RiRi is sporting here, and it's around $60, from Silver Spoon Attire. The coolest part, though, is that the brooch is actually vintage so no two hats will be adorned with same pin. Pretty sweet, eh?

Katy Perry and Johnny Wujek: Besties.
Photo: Getty

The bond between a pop star and her stylist is a special one. Through thick and thin, wardrobe malfunctions and red carpet victories, they are a team, bonded together by double sided tape and sequins. Perhaps one of the most dynamic star/stylist duos is that of Katy Perry and Johnny Wujek. We caught up with Johnny just last week to talk about some of his favorite things, and now Katy herself is making her own introduction to the man behind the neon and candy canes in a new clip from her Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D concert film. We know we don't even have to tell you how excited we are for the movie, and a large part of our excitement is getting to go behind the scenes in Katy's dressing room to see just HOW those light up, spinning, gleaming costumes are rigged together. The man is a genius, we tell you, a genius. Watch the clip after the jump!

Nancy Stella Soto Hand Bag

A handbag by Nancy Stella Soto.

A trusty, neutral clutch is a great thing to have. It's your go-to carryall date, holding your hand (err, scratch that, reverse it) from season to season as you traipse from one faaaabulous event to the next. It should be bold enough to make a statement but not so loud that it overpowers your outfit (nobody outshines YOU, honey booboo child!). Could this oversized, handprinted number by Nancy Stella Soto be the one for you? Maybe! Let's talk it out first, though.

Robert Pattinson Gucci Suits

In case you didn't already know, Robert Pattinson loves Gucci. He's been sporting their suits in real life AND on the big screen (see: Cosmopolis) for as long as we can remember, but in the most recent edition of British GQ, we found out juuuuust how far his love affair with Gucci goes (Spoiler alert: It's far). He told the mag he has Gucci's creative director Frida Giannini's number basically on speed dial. "The amount of times I've been stuck in some random city and have called her up and had things brought in at absolutely the last minute—it's crazy," he said. "But also all this stuff is custom-made. You can do quite crazy things [with color] if you have incredibly classic, really well-made suits. I guess I've been quite boring for a while. I used to be more interesting with them. Now I always just request things two days before: 'Can you send 25 suits?' I don't even know what I want to wear!" I'm sorry, did he say TWENTY. FIVE. suits? Yep.
