Ethiopia: Does she look like a terrorist to you?

Reeyot Alemu, a young journalist, who is arrested by Woyane under the trumped up charges of ‘terrorism acts’. She is held incommunicado at the infamous ‘maikelawi’ prison. She appeared in a closed court yesterday, and according to sources, the judge granted the prosecutor a one month period for furhter investigation.

Reeyot was a member of UDJ, and later joined ‘Zim Anilim’ in protest of the alleged missteps the leadership took. Her friends describe her to be a young vibrant emerging leader who is knowledgeable, determined and visionary.

Above all there is no court of law in Ethiopia there is only a kangaroo court in the country driven by the monsters-TPLF/EPRDF's nexus-of-evils graduated from civil service college. languishing young journalist in a solitary cell for an indefinite period of time on a thinly pretext of terrorism is a daily order. this [Meles] is the ruler the west leaders are praising day and night. whatever they call him he is the worst dictatorial tyrant in Africa and should be removed by hook or crook. Reeyot, this maniac monsters are now counts their days. keep up your morale. God be with you.

As long as you speak the truth, you are anti-woyane. woyane and truth are on the Opposite end of each other.

The fascist and racist Meles Zenawi does not tolerate potentially strong persons in the country. This young women is victimised either because of her opposition opinion or ethnic category.

I fully agree with our sister Genet Wodajo above. It is that ugly ethnic stupid and the lady’s patriotism that the fascist, racist Meles Zenawi and his cronies could not swallow for over 20 years. Mind you too, almost all Ethiopian tribes except Tigrians are now labelled terrorists to separate Tigrians from the rest of their Ethiopian brothers and sisters, when in fact; the real terrorists are the EPRDF thugs from the so-called Patriarch Diabilos to the bottom ordinary cadres. Therefore, EPRDF regime has now become the self-appointed ruler of a terrorist country hence soon or later, they would all be swapped by their own creation of terrorists: the Ethiopian people and be completely destroyed. These nasty Mafia families humiliated us all.

I also fear that if EPRDF continue illegally imprisoning innocent journalists like the bearers named above and other harmless ordinary people as terrorists or supporters of those labelled as terrorists, soon or later, some angry individuals and groups might break into Government Offices in Ethiopia and Ethiopian Embassies abroad to harm EPRDF officials as tit for tat. Those of us who reside in the west may organise to use our legal rights to make citizens arrests of all EPRDF officials who travel to the west for official duties or holidays too?

Hence it is to the Ethiopian people and especially the Tigrians advantage not to be associated with these Ethiopia-haters, hired foreign agents to avoid the wrath of the oppressed people and moreover too, to save Ethiopia and Ethiopian unity our forefathers and ancestors kept for many centuries to make us feel proud as citizens of that land of God. Frankly speaking too, it would also be beneficial to the regime if they stop those injustices not to drive the entire nation mad and become their enemies. Otherwise, they would be very hurt more than us. In my opinion too, the best way to tackle these problems are to hit them back twice when they hit us once. Bravery and martyrdom now are the solution not to remain on our knees.

Reeyot Alemu being singled out for weyane humiliating drill ,under false charge, of terrorist activity should not come as surprise to anyone who is following the deteriorating political condition in Ethiopia. Without any doubt, the disturbing fact is that the most wanted terrorist, since mid 70′s who’s terror mission encompasses across many East African nations including Ethiopia, Somalia Sudan,Lybia and the Arab gulf states has been perpetrating state terror among innocent Ethiopians for twenty years. And, the shocking thing in thi9s saga is the lack of unity among Ethiopian opposition forces that appear to give government more leeway to inflict its damage against the public. As a result, at present there is growing uneasiness, and fear by the public to the extent many feel unless government sponsored terror against Ethiopians is brought to complete stop now, the citizens don’t have any choice to rise and defend their dignity from state sponsored terror.

what is the look of a terrorist? I am not saying any thing but my concern is I didn't know how a terrorist looks , as far as I know all terrorist looks as any of us that walk among us. so if u have some explanation for that I don't see the different that u claim the government is sending a citizen because of the look it is going to be very hard to believe , or u saying what we been witching in tv or any othere media a man with big unshaved bred and with a K47 than yes she doesn't if it is that. The othere thing what I see is u didn't even tell us why she is in person just u say she is a journalist and a very good one so what , what did she did in her work , did she put a very good article or any thing , have a good news not a gossip.

Well, now Woyanes’ totalitarian regime that is totally ruthless and brutal to Ethiopians is no secret to anyone. Today the government of Ethiopia is known to be the No 1 repressive country in the world to brutalize journalist.

This is known by the highest number of journalists to be forced out into exile than any country in the world.

People are victimized day in and day out just because they do not support the regime or are not Tigrean.

This lady is noting but brave with high ethical standard. She only crime is being conscious.

We have to keep the pressure on the brutal regime to leave.

We have to do something to help all those charged with terrorism act, it’s obvious woyane arrested them because they are a potential activists who can ignites up rising. Imagine if you are involved in politics or in kinds of activism in the past the scared woyanes will lock you up in one of infested jail.
