Tyler Shoemaker
Wide Receiver
NFL Draft Update
Former Boise State wide receiver Tyler Shoemaker went undrafted this weekend, however, he was quickly picked up by an NFL team through free agency.
Shoemaker - who visited with Green Bay and New Orleans prior to the draft - reach a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Currently, the Tampa Bay lists eight receivers on it's roster, meaning Shoemaker will have his work cut out for him.
NFL Draft Profile
Projected Pick: Undrafted Free Agent
Known team workouts: Cleveland, Green Bay (visited), New Orleans (visit)
From walk-on to record holder, Tyler Shoemaker can't help but continue to overachieve and exceed expectations. Thrust into the role of being quarterback Kellen Moore's go-to-guy his senior year, all Shoemaker did was lead Boise State with 994 yards receiving and broke the school-record for touchdowns receptions in a single-season with 16.
While he didn't get invited to the Senior Bowl or NFL Combine, the Meridian-native grabbed the attention of NFL scouts at Boise State's Pro Day when he ran a 4.43 40-yard time.
Just like he has done his whole career, the moment you forget about Tyler Shoemaker, he makes he remember.
