Well long time no chat sweet friends. Can you believe that we are already screaming towards the 1st of July - crazy isn't it. I did enjoy the month of June - and lots of fun things to look forward to in July. I have some fun things to share with you from some get togethers and a quilt show I popped into to during the month of June. But first I need to get down to business so I don't get in trouble with sweet Anne. She's a slave driver you know lol - just kidding Anne.
It's times for the sharing of the next Comfort and Joy blocks challenge. Last month when we needed to show our 2nd block, well I had computer issues and wasn't able to participate - plus let's be honest here I didn't have a ton to share on that block either, I was a bit behind - seemed like a good excuse to me to be absent. Computer is up and running now with a brand spankin new battery and a little clean up as well. So now it's time to get down to business and show you my versions. Of course I'm adding wool to mine - I think that's probably just a given here don't ya think lol. So here's the 2nd bloc - the snowman is fabric that I appliqued, otherwise the rest is wool and the stars on the flag are wool as well
I don't have them sewn together yet because I need to do the stitching around the wool pieces - there's also some flying geese blocks that need to go in there and there done - just wouldn't fit into the pic
3rd block for this month
again not sewn together as the wool in the stars need to be stitched around and the angel needs her little vine stitched around the top of her head - but she is otherwise stitched all around. Her wings, face and the hair on her head are fabric and the rest is wool. Boy the color sure isn't so hot in these pictures - sorry about that. So other than some buttonhole stitching I'm up to date - WOOO HOOOO.
My friend Randee - no blog - has also joined in the fun, so I'm going to share her blocks with you right now - she's done very well getting it together as quickly as she has - I'm sharing her blocks for her. Randee you should start a blog :)
#2 Block
#3 block
Part of #2's block
#1 block
Great job Randee and now she's up to date as well. Now pop on over to the other stitchers who are participating in this monthly challange and see their version of #3.
Until Next Time (I sure hope these links work)

Your chubby stars are so fun! Love how you changed them up a bit. Randee's snowman is really cute too. Thanks for sharing, it is so fun to see each person's twist on the same blocks.

It is interesting to see how everyone is taking the same pattern and doing their own thing with it.

These are such cute blocks! Someday I'll get to that quilt, but right now I've got too many BOM's from Primitive Gatherings to finish. Love it when you check in, Karen. You always inspire me to get creative!
