The Steve Cochran Show

WEEKDAYS 10 AM-12 PM CST

Steve Cochran Show

Steve says, "If it's politics, sports, or pop culture I will be on it nightly...with a combination of comedy, commentary, and calls from listeners who are always welcome to jump in... and risk their reputations as I do too". Remember The Steve Cochran Show is his mom's favorite thing on the radio.

Steve Cochran is a chopped salad of a good time. He is a stand-up comedian. He's a common-sense-first news and politics junkie. He's an ex-jock who can't get enough sports.

You mix all that together and you get The Steve Cochran Show weeknights 6-9pm and online at KTRS.COM...wait...you're obviously web savvy because you're already here.

Listen just once a week and that's not enough. Listen twice a week and you're getting warmer. Listen all week and you'll be caught up on everything from the Kardashians to Kazakhstan and all the games too.

Steve Cochran has done big league radio for 25 years. After spending the last ten of those at WGN in Chicago and having stopped previously in Baltimore, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York (and more) he's glad to be back in St. Louis. He spent two years here in the late 80s and his daughter was born on his first day on the air.

The show features some of the best comedians in the business from all of Steve's years on stage. He's worked with Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, Garry Shandling, Richard Lewis and even Don Rickles. Steve's phonebook is full of great guests from TV (he's appeared on CNN for years), film (he's a fine bit-part actor in movies like GRUMPY OLD MEN) and sports (he still fills in at times on ESPN). Amongst his years of TV credits is time as a regular contributor to CNN shows with 20+ appearances on Lou Dobbs Tonight.

In the middle of his first show as the new host at the old KWK-FM he got a life changing phone call. His wife, Maureen, had gone into labor and their first child was on the way. Amy Cochran was born that day, 7 weeks early. Quite a start. A little brother followed in 1990. Amy is now a school teacher and Ross is a Sophomore, theater major, at Bradley University. Cochran moved on to a great run in the Twin Cities and stops in New York and Detroit too. He has spent the last 15 years at The Loop and WGN in Chicago. Steve has done stand up comedy at every stop in his career and shared the stage with Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, Garry Shandling, Richard Lewis, and even the great Don Rickels. In 2010 he headlined over 50 shows at clubs and theaters.
