Poll: Obama's popularity in Middle lower than Bush's
-
Guess the middle name that dare not be spoken --"Hussein" -- and
the Muslim school background didn't do the trick for Barack Obama. In 2008, we
rubes out in the provinces were assured if Obama was president, the
U.S. would become more popular in the Middle East than a bomb house
filled with IEDs. In his inaugural address, Obama told Muslims to
"unclench your fist," but the response was a fist with
a raised middle finger. Well, that's gratitude for you. Why, Obama
even graced the "Muslim world" with a Big
Speech in Cairo in 2009.
Somehow, this is all Bush's fault.

Keith Olbermann still delivering bombastic commentary, but who cares
-
Since moving to Al Gore's "Current" TV, the former MSNBC
bomb-thrower (who doesn't believe a word he says) has lost 30 percent of his viewers on Current. Here
is his mind numbingly dull "Special Comment" from Monday, if your
interested. He mildly rebukes Obama over the debt ceiling stuff,
yadda yadda yadda.

Obama: "Raise taxes or granny gets it -- again"
-
With the advent of ObamaCare, Barack Obama said in 2009 that we
must consider pulling the plug on granny (Your granny, not his), or
at least choose withhold treatment with old people and tell them to
"take the pain painkiller." Now he's threatening to
withhold granny's Social Security check (Your granny, not his)
unless he gets more tax money to spend irresponsibly.
James Taranto at the WSJ's Best of the Web explains the rationale behind
the president's threat to withhold social security checks for
millions of American seniors (and others) if he doesn't get his way
on the infamous "debt ceiling" debate:
"For this he drew plaudits from what used to be called the
mainstream media. 'Obama Grasping Centrist Banner in Debt Impasse'
read the New York Times headline. The Washington Post's Chris
Cillizza dubbed him 'Dad-in-Chief,' explaining: 'Boil Obama's
message down and you get this: Adults sometimes have to do things
that they don't want to do. This is one of those times. So, let's
get it done.'
"The kids are acting up, so he threatens to starve Granny to
death. That's just how a strong father behaves."

Liberals who won't admit they're liberal
-
An interesting aspect of liberalism is that few admit hey are
liberals. The explanation is (usually) is to blame Republicans, who
have turned the word "liberal" to a dirty word. There is some truth
to this. But the Repugs could not have been successful without an
able ssist from libs themselves.
Case in point, liberal political comedian Bill Maher.
He appeared last night on a CNN program hosted by
some British guy, and was asked to peg himself on the political
spectrum. He dodged the question. Then, defending Barack Obama's
troubled presidency and failing policies, he said:
"He's not even a liberal!" Maher says, in a shrill manner that
belies what he really believes.
Conservatives don't have a problem saying they are conservative.
So, why do liberals try to hide what they are, and camoflouge
behind "centrist" or "progressive."

David Christian forms exploratory committee to take on Bob Casey Jr. in '12

Hopey-Changey Era circles drain as worst jobs report released, unemployment ticks up to 9.2 percent
-
Even the WaPo could not paint lipstick on this pig:
"Job growth came to a near-halt in June, according to
surprisingly grim new data released Friday that raise doubts that
the economy will bounce back from it spring lull soon."
Let's face it. Hope 'n Change is failing, and the middle class
is taking it on the chin. Half the country seems deluded that the
inexperienced and apparently incompetent Obama Admin will figure it
out. It's an administration that is in disarray. Obama give a Rose
Garden talk after the bad news is released, saying he's "ready to
roll up his sleeves" on the jobs issue. Meanwhile, his 2008
campaign czar, David Plouffe, says that unemployment will not be a key issue for American voters in
the 2012 presidential race. Sure, dude.
The solution?

Fiscal sanity comes to New Jersey
-
Though the libs are painting the reforms of gummit employee pension and health
care benefits as an "attack" on the "middle class," it's really
this simple: there's no more money in Jersey. Oh, wait. There is,
it's just that Bruce Springsteen and other millionaire "farmers"
are keeping it for themselves.

Gallup: Obama in job approval plunge
-
Even after the "Big Speech" treatment, he's down to 43 percent approval. Even worse, he's up to 50
percent disapproval. No wonder he's bringing troops home in time
for the '12 election, and releasing millions of gallons of crude
from the strategic oil reserve. He's a one-termer at this point.
When the Supreme Court strikes down the health care mandate, and
the Repugs repeal the mess, it will be yeoman's work trying to
rehab the Obama presidency as a success. Well, Obama supporters can
always blame Bush.

Five arguments against gay marriage
-
The most potent argument is that the government, in a
misguided argument over discrimination, will make the case that
children have no right to a mother and father -- that two "fathers"
or two "mothers" or any haphazard parental arrangement is just as
good as a biological mom and dad. This is nonsense. Just ask the
kids.

Obama on Afghanistan: Mission Accomplished
-
Slumping poll numbers, a disenchanted public, policies that have
failed to produce what was promised have required Obama to do what
he always does with sticky problems: give us the "Big Speech"
treatment. Judging from the reviews, reaction is a mixed bag at best. Meanwhile, a nation turns
its lonely eyes to -- who? Someone, anyone who can get us out of
the malaise that has become the Obama Era.

Rising illegitimacy inevitably means more Democrats
-
When you lose your sense of self-reliance, when disaster befalls
and the first thought is to run to the government for help, then
you are definitely a liberal and probably a Democrat. With
out-of-wedlock births rising quickly in the U.S. (41 percent of all
births, as of '07), and with American men abandoning their children
to the welfare state, the growth of the Democratic Party is assured.
Slackers and government reliants naturally gravitate to the Dems.
Conservatives may win a battle here and there, but liberals have
won the culture war. Obamaism in all its inglorious big government
control and authoritarianism is our future. If you cannot maintain
control your own life, the liberals will control it for you. Moral
rot from deep within kills all great societies. Remember that when
Anthony Weiner makes his comeback.

The state of ObamaCare
-
Each time Barack Obama grants a waiver from ObamaCare regs to a
favored Dem interest group and or political player, it gives the
Right an opportunity to shout how bad the law is. The waivers are a
corrupt means to manage the widely despised Patient Death Panel and
(un)Affordable Care Act. Obama's political solution to this is to
claim he will end the waivers in September. Actually, the
administration is quietly gathering all the requests for waivers
and will, after Labor Day, grant all wiavers on a single day,
reports John Hayward at Human Events. This will not
enhance ObamaCare in the public mind, though. The mish-mash of
authoritarian government regulations gives billions to the same
insurerance companies that the president and his party have
condemned. (An irony of which the media rarely comments.) Despite
predictions by liberals that all of us would love ObamaCare after
it was passed, it remains highly unpopular. Most Americans want the
law repealed.

Adult "sexting" has to do with power, unlimited sex partners
-
The issue of men sending pics of their privates to women they
don't know has been little studied, reports USA Today. What accounts for this
exotic behavior? Power and an unlimited number of virtual sex
partners is the reason, the sexperts tell the paper. More likely,
the behavior is peculiar to socially awkward dullards who don't
realize that normal women are repulsed by "crotch shots" and other
such pictures. Anyway, we can thank Congressman Anthony Weiner for
helping usher in a field of research that will break new research
ground on this behavior.

New unemployment cliams at 427,000, up for the nine consecutive weeks
-
Of course, the jump in claims is "unexpected," according to Reuters, which includes that word
in almost every story on this subject. While Americans were filing
for unemployment, Congressman Anthony Weiner, one of the biggest
Hope 'n Changers on the planet, was using his time to send pictures
of his deal to women he didn't know. For some people, doing the
people's business has turned into doing the people.

The New York congressman who "sexted" women via

have slipped the news to the Times for nefarious reasons. Or maybe
not. Either way, he's destined to get his own spot on cable news
TV, maybe after Elliot Spitzer's show. They could interview each

Cooked Weiner: Congressman says he "can't say with certitude" crotch shot is him
-
Congressman Anthony Weiner, a Democrat from New York, may have
sent a lewd photo of his crotch to a college student in
Seattle last Friday. Oddly, he has since deleted all photos from
his account. As he made the media rounds, he artfully dodged direct
questions on whether it's his pic. (He told NBC News that he can't
say "with certitude" that it's him). He claims he is the victim of
a prank, that his Twitter account was hacked. But, in another
oddity, he has not asked the FBI to investigate. This is because
the FBI would, in about 5 minutes, find the IP address of sender
which Weiner obviously does not want disclosed. The reason we
should know, as Rachel Maddow said on Wednesday, is that it makes
the difference between whether Weiner is a victim or a creep. I'd
bet on creep. Truth is symphonic, but the congressman has struck so
many discordant notes that, yeah, this Weiner is cooked.

Video: Hollywood producers openly admit discriminating against conservatives
-
A slew of Tinsel Town producers admit to author Ben Shapiro that they
discriminate against conservatives, refusing to hire them and in
one case calling a conservative woman the c-word. Shapiro taped the
interviews and will roll them out, along with his book, "Primetime
Propaganda," which details how Hollywood liberals use their
platforms to promote left ideology. Conservatives will be the least
surprised by this. My question: how many Hollywood conservatives
"pass" as liberals to keep their jobs? Man, it's reverse
McCarthyism. It's only a matter of time before someone files a
lawsuit for employment discrimination, and Hollywood is forced to
diversify.

Environmentalists' "bizarre crusade" to ban fireworks in California
-
The people who have turned good stewardship of the planet into
the neo-pagan religion of "Environmentalism" have won a big court case in San Diego, Calif. aimed
at killing holiday fireworks displays. The case against fireworks
was brought by the Coastal Environmental Rights Foundation, and a
Superior Court judge agreed. So now, July 4 fireworks displays and
a host of other fun events will now be subject to the state's
onerous California Environmental Quality Act. Such reviews can take
a year and cost thousands of dollars for the sponsors of the event,
nixing most celebrations due to increased costs. The tree huggers
claim that fireworks have grave impacts on wildlife. Marco
Gonzalez, a lawyer for the neo-pagans, gloated over the win,
telling the San Diego Trib:
“If you were to sum it up with one word, I would say
‘vindication.’ It’s vindication for the environment ... and it’s
vindication for my client because of the amount of disparaging
comments and general negativity that was thrown our way when we
were told that our lawsuit was frivolous."
These killjoys have a natural home on the political left, and
they won't stop at fireworks displays. Wait until they want
to control your fireplace or home thermostat.

Gallup: Military veterans less likely to approve of Obama job performance
-
U.S. military veterans don't have thrills running up their legs
when it comes to Barack Obama, according to a Gallup poll of 238,000 Americans who serve or
served in the armed forces. Reports Gallup: "Americans who
currently serve or previously served in the U.S. military are less
likely to approve of the job President Obama is doing than are
those who have not served in the military, by about 10 percentage
points. This approval gap occurs across age groups." Well, so much
for Time magazines Joe Klein claiming that Obama has a "better relationship"
with the military than Bush.

Understanding Palin's mystique

She rides Harleys, shoots game, breaks trail, did not abort her
Down Syndrome baby, and openly praises God. If these make you feel
uncomfortable, you probably detest Sarah Palin. While Palin
emotionally connects with millions of Americans, it doesn't mean
she will be president. As Brit writer Tim Stanley explains, the American culture
continues to "degrade leftwards."
