Why is branding yourself so important? If you want to be successful, it’s important to brand yourself, as an expert in your chosen field. Having done this will result in people seeking you out first. Chances are many others are providing the same products or services as you, establishing yourself, as an expert will result in people coming to you first.
Branding yourself instantly sets you apart from the scores of others promoting the same products; people will know you instead of the products you are offering. This will also make it much easier for you to sell other products, as you are the brand, not a certain product. Affiliate programs have armies of people promoting their products, mostly using the cookie-cutter affiliate pages provided to them, branding yourself sets you apart from all the other affiliates, giving you a much greater chance for success.
There are a number of ways to brand yourself online these days, some of the best ways are:
1. Using pictures and logos, your picture is probably the most important thing of all when branding yourself. Use it on your website and blog, twitter page, Facebook page and any other social media sites you may use. Use a gravatar, so your picture will appear when you comment on a post in a blog.
2. Writing articles for ezines is a great way to brand yourself, and get traffic and backlinks to your site.
3. Blogging is another great way to brand yourself, it gives people the opportunity to get to know you and build a personal relationship with you. People will always prefer to do business with someone they know and feel they can trust; blogging helps you to accomplish this. Besides it’s a great way to get traffic, as search engines seem to love blogs!
4. Be yourself and be consistent with your marketing campaigns, by being consistent people will come to know you better, as they will instantly recognize your style.
5, Be honest in all your dealings with people, go the extra mile with customer service, always fulfilling or exceeding customer expectations. Whether we realize it or not, all of us brand ourselves by our actions, make your brand a good one.
There are also lots of other things we can do to brand ourselves, such as: sales pages, videos, capture pages, our email signature, ecards, etc. One of my favorites is branding my tweets with my own personalized twitter feed from Market Me Suite, it’s not only a great way to brand yourself, it also gives you backlinks with your tweets, a great traffic builder!
