Milldown, July 2004. This is a view stood on the trackbed looking towards Stourpaine. The overbridge more or less marks the summit of the short climb from Blandford station and still shows the tell-tale line of soot from the locomotive exhaust on its underside!. Pic © Mark Pike. |

OK, spot the trackbed. Taken from the access road to the supermarket built on the the lowered embankment, looking north towards Templecombe. The remains of the overbridge can be seen in the distance, the
housing having been built on the station site. September 2000 - Words

Bridge Over the river Stour At
Blandford. The bridge remains, but the embankment has gone to help build the bypass,
and more recently, a new supermarket, just out of shot in the right
distance. The signs on the bridge indicate it is a dangerous structure.
Not half as dangerous as the Whitehall accountants who caused
this scene to be repeated all over the land. September 2000. Words
