TV ratings: 'Big Brother' tops Sunday for CBS as ABC and FOX split demo title

Fast National ratings for Sunday, July 15, 2012

The Sunday debut of "Big Brother 14" fell some from Thursday's season premiere, but it still drew Sunday's best adults 18-49 ratings. It was not, however, big enough to give CBS an overall win in the demographic -- ABC's unscripted lineup and FOX's animation reruns shared that honor.

CBS led the night in total audience, averaging 5.4 million viewers and a 3.5 rating/6 share in households. ABC (4.8 million, 2.9/5) beat out NBC (4.6 million, 2.9/5) for second place. FOX brought up the rear in viewers with 3.1 million, and a 1.8/3.

ABC and FOX each drew a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49 to lead the demo. CBS posted a 1.1 and NBC a 0.9.
