Vegusto Dairy-free 'Cheese' Winner of the FAIR Trophy
for the best free-from food 2012



Good News! Our Mild Aromatic Cheese has won Best of Show Overall at the Free-From Food Awards in London.

Here's what the judges had to say about our Mild Aromatic Cheese alternative:

"A really tasty dairy-free 'cheese' substitute has always been the Nirvana towards which all 'freefrom' and vegan manufacturers strive – but they have never been able to crack it... Until now....

Swiss vegan manufacturers, Vegusto have created a range of 'cheeses' based on coconut, rapeseed and sunflower oils, almonds, cashew nuts which really do taste like cheese! Not a vintage cheddar – but a very pleasant, tasty cheese which had our dairy-free judges whooping with excitement! 'Ohmigod!!! This is the best thing I have eaten in years!...'

And what's more, the cheeses are not only dairy free, but gluten free, soya free and egg free too.

All three Vegusto cheeses entered were very good but judges felt that the 'mild aromatic', designed to be eaten on crackers or in a sandwich, was the most versatile and most useful – and fully deserved to win the FAIR trophy for the Best FreeFrom Food in 2012."
